Vernon and Ade discuss the misconceptions of Black Culture vs. Street Culture. This is a sensitive subject, because the bulk of Americans and other nations perceive “Black” Americans as ghetto gladiators, committing crimes, and ignorantly living off of the government. Da Agenda attempts to offer solutions, to the issue.
It is a popular tactic to make someone or group a “scapegoat”. It is easier to view them in a less than human way, if they are “stopping” you from receiving what you think i your God given rights. In the days of the railroad it was the Chinese who, after their usefulness was past were portrayed as opium puffing degenerates. In the the first world war it was the Zoot suited Latinos, puffing marijuana. For every race that was deemed an enemy of the Nation it is usually the “black” American that has been persecuted vastly more than others. Some say it is their own fault, but some say it is an inherent fear that Americans have sinned against “Blacks” and are always anticipating that “sin” back.
The guys go into that dynamic with all eyes open Black culture is black, street culture is in every race. Yet in other races this “street life” is romanticized as in Billy the Kid or the Mafia. While crime is bad no matter who is doing it, they will delve into the perception, and offer their solution to this inconsistency. Enjoy Episode 2 of Da Agenda…
