I first came across the concept of quantum biology through the book "Life on the Edge: The coming Age of Quantum Biology" by Johnjoe McFadden and Jim Al-Khalili. Prior to that, I'd read Johnjoe McFadden's "Quantum Evolution."

This track was created on my iPad waiting at Perth domestic airport for a flight home to Melbourne, with the final mix being applied at home.

"Quantum biology refers to applications of quantum mechanics and theoretical chemistry to biological objects and problems."

Imagine early humans discovering how to make music. In my head they’re sitting in a cave, and eventually (if you’re patient) you’ll hear that my cave dwellers do get their groove on.

Oh, for some reason, I thought it would be fun to use primitive hip hop beats!

In the block universe the whole of Spacetime coexists, including the past, the present, and possibly the future too. Our lives are like threads woven in the tapestry of Spacetime.

Here’s to the ‘ghosts’ of past years, haunting us always.

Deep ambient piece, full of mystery.

It was the guitar amp sound that made me think of the Monster from The Id, from the 50s sci-fi classic movie Forbidden Planet.

Rawarr!

Inspired by Aragorn’s speech before the Black Gate.

Created on my iPhone mostly on the flight from Melbourne to Perth (heading into the West).

Saturnalia was the week long festival of the God Saturn, celebrated around this time in December by the ancient Romans.

Happy Yuletide! Merry Christmas!

I was imagining a city of droids, robots and androids when I created this soundscape. All synths played by me in Logic Pro X.

Pianos, drums and sweet guitars - one of my Apple loop mixes / compositions.

To be honest, I'm sure sure what the title means but it popped into my head so I stuck with it. It feels bitter-sweet to me.

This track started with that dark heavy Sunrizer synth and then I built suitably dark and heavy - mainly dubstep - beats around it.

It sounded like some evil magic incantation hence the title. Certainly not your average dubstep tune...

1st December 2019 - I just realised...this is my 1,200th track!
