I'm a huge fan of H.P. Lovecraft, and found myself playing "atmospheric" synth instruments in Logic Pro X which just sounded wonderfully creepy and alien. Before long, the track morphed into this fan tribute to one of my favourite Lovecraft stories.

I had the phrase 'wheels of industry' turning in my head, so I decided to do an industrial metal track to capture the thought. I took it back to the industrial revolution, pictured here in 19th century Germany.

I used Novation Launchpad, creating three tracks with different master production effects which I then layered (and sometimes double-tracked), and added some electronic bass sequencer and rock/metal guitar.

It's been a while since Per (Son Of Axe - https://soundcloud.com/persito-1) and I collaborated on a track, but boy am I glad we did! I gave Per a bare bones backing track, from which he created this wonderful rock vocal. Fantastic work my friend! Per is the heart and soul of this track!

This is one of my Apple loop mixes/compositions.

This is a track in memory of my Aunt - Margaret Coutts - (who passed away many years ago), a warm-hearted and generous lady who was for a time stationed (in the Army) at Edinburgh Castle (pictured).

I was lucky enough to attend the Edinburgh Military Tattoo with Aunt Margaret, and always associate my memory of her with the castle.

My parents were working class, and never owned a car. We lived in Wiltshire, in England.

Margaret would drive 650 miles down from Scotland, stay for a few days, then drive me and my sister up to Scotland and take us all over Scotland on a series of day trips. Then she would drive us back home, stay a few days, before she headed back to Scotland.

Wonderful lady.
