Chapter 11:• "He who does not burn for malek, will be burned by malek".• Patches on cadets, she notes circular patch with water and floating spheres in case she needs to defeat them. • 171 cadets but only 100 dragons. • She questions if there are checks and balances for xaden's level of power. • Dain begs her to not do the gauntlet, says he would never run away to be a scribe bc he is a rider bc he doesn't think she can be one. • She flies through the course, didn't use ropes, for the chimney she chooses a time delay by grabbing a rope to use to climb.• Ridoc cheers for her, last level with no practice, uses her dagger to make the climb. I bet Xaden was turned on watching haha.• Amber, dain's fwb, pissed. Codex quoted that she could use a dagger.• "I didn't miss the hint of a smirk on his infuriatingly indecadent mouth of his"• They all make it.

Chapter 12:• 169 cadets. They placed 11 out of 36.• Presentation day.• Walks down meadow, stay 7ft from each other.• Rumors of a feather tail.• Recommend they talk while walking. • Mama sorrengail had a brown dragon. • Tynan taunts violet about how hot her sister is.• Everyone roasting andarna and violet.• Tynan wants to take out andarna.• Ridoc admires them, Luca calls all of them underwhelming.• Violet shares a story where she thought her mom was a venin, blood shot eyes. • Pryor toasted.• Greens smell her scales armor from Tiny.• Luca toasted.

Chapter 13:• Now it's threshing, and they go out to be bonded.• Violet feels no connections.• I originally thought she was truly only getting andarna and shocked with tarin.• Jack and crew out to take out andarna for the same reasons as her.• Finds andarna first, hurts her ankle, and she defends andarna who doesn't fly away (just swishes her tail lol).• Xaden tells them to reconsider, spidey sense, sgaeyl snarled.

Chapter 14:• Xaden initially doesn't interfere, just says sgaeyl isn't one to mess with.• Violet fights against 3 of then and xaden yells "look behind you" he interferes but calls it narrating.• Xaden steps in about to truly interfere, then Tarin drops in. She is up to his ankle.• Tarin says "step aside silver one".• Tynan toasted.• "Your bleeding, stop it" - Tarin• She argues that she doesn't want him.• He bows, she climbs, she falls.

Chapter 15:• Tarin embarrassed of her after he catches her.• "I know exactly who and what you are Violet Sorrengail" - Tarin• Locks her in.• Tarin shows off, lots of sarcasm. • She heads in to give his name.• Chose her for being the smartest and saving andarna.• "Maybe I was saving you" -Andarna • What do you think mama sorrengail is thinking, vi thinks she doesn't think Tarin is actually bonded to her nor cares how she is doing.• This is when we hear andarna share her full name.

Chapter 7:• Marked ones cannot be in one squad not walking around in groups of 3, capital offense. • Sneaks out every night, poisen book, collected berries and mushrooms.• shadows wrap around her while she moves down the tree.• Xaden "If one of you tell, I'll know".• Vi "he's being annoyingly admirable, a$$hole".• "Learn what they teach you, and keep what you know"• Violet "is mine to handle and will when the time is right".• Garrick reminded them she is Brennan's sister• Xaden "leaves", she's pulled into a hard chest, rough pitch voice, rough velvet voice.• Shadow wielder, flirty banter, eyes locked, "perfect lips", shadows grab daggers, puts her daggers away 😳.• Acts like him keeping her alive is his choice and that he owes her.

Chapter 8:• Dain escorts her to class and they both grin, smells like leather and....soap lol.• 1st challenge day - oren • Professor signet - mind projection.• Dragon breeds are very particular on how to be approached.• Sgaeyl, rare for a blue dragon and bonded a relative to her previous rider.• They talk about Tarin - hear me out. • Lost his rider during the uprising, died saving Brennan.• The stronger the bond and power of the dragon the stronger the signet. • Spidey sense, Looks at xaden, twitterpated, he smirks and raises and eyebrow, reading her?!• Oren pukes, takes his dagger.• week 2 wins from mushrooms.• Week 3 later too from xena root, numb legs.• Week 4 blurry eyes, leaves and tea.• 5th week win, tree bark sluggish and sweaty.• 6th week, timing wrong, now xaden, prickle on her scalp.

Chapter 9:• Jealous of Imogen as he hands her daggers.• Sexy fight 😆.• Xaden knows every move she will make, how he can catch knives. How would fight that?• Violence nickname.• Everyone just watching him whisper in her ear, no one doesn't see that. Nose to nose even. • Kicked all knives to dain, ice cold.• She doesn't think, just attacks, and takes him down!• She's so turned on, hands interlocked on the dagger.• Learn dragons are in their heads. • Dain still trying to get violet out. • Cradles her cheeks, both palms on her face. Pulls away as his reasoning tugging her towards what he is suggesting.

Chapter 10:• The gauntlet, wipe out challenge. One in the witcher for ciri.• Tynan, Barlow friend, squad mate and points out timed trials for the gauntlet. • Sawyer does amazing but was passed over last year. • Violet makes it but Aurelie doesn't make it. • Ice cold funeral methods, parents can take the body and burn their items or the school will. Violet decided to burn the items. • She's headed to the roof, burns stuff, hides in the shadows, wraps around her, but it's don't think he knows yet.• Garrick, xaden, bohdi got back from a trip, her head prickles, and xaden freezes, sends them off. • Cocks his head, another sign he is reading her.• Smells like mint and leather, citrus and floral.• I actually don't think he likes her right now like I thought he did the first time. • They talk about her chances of living.• How does he know she couldn't get up the chimney thing?• Blames keeping her alive as a way for him to feel better about himself but encourages her that the "right way isn't always the right way".

Chapter 3:• "Many of you will die, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make".• Thankfully she gets her boot back. • Dain arrives, thirsty, first time seeing him since he gained a power. Touched her back and elbow. • At this point xaden knows about dains signet, right?• Dain takes her to his room, wraps her knee, tension in the room. • She's so forward and confident with flirting. • Feels like she breaks the fourth wall to tell us things. • Dain tries to make her escape.• Cadets from all over?• Joins formation, Panchek speaking (unknown signet).• 3 squad in a section, and 3 section in 4 wings. • Does the Rebecca Yarros have a battalion formation guide and mark off cadets as they are killed off to maintain formations?• Squad switch to fourth wing. • Dragons arrive - Brave heart memories. • At this point originally I wondered how she knew dragons wouldn't admit to being wrong. • Sgaeyl brings this scene up later i believe.

Chapter 4:• Run down of what the year will look like.• Meets sawyer and Riddick. • Dain and Violet speak bird, grabs her elbow, worries about assassination. • On the constant look out for touching and shadows.• You want to be a rider, don't you violet? (SpongeBob "you like crabby patties don't you squidward ")• I didn't realize how quickly dain tells us his signet!• Vi has a spidey sense before seeing xaden and he tilts his head when he sees her, reading her?!

Chapter 5:• Mama sorrengail disagreed with the children of the rebellions.• In class, professor Devera and Markham (meant to work for him).• At this point griffins are attacking because they are being attacked, right?• Barlow "I'm not the one who thinks pre-cognition is a thing"• Spidey sense went off• Xaden knows the motive already of the griffins.• Does Markham know everything at this point? • What were the griffins riders looking for again?• In the sparring ring for the first time, Vi thirsty lol, Professor Emetterio (combat teacher)• Barlow took someone out, Vi fights Imogen, assassination attempt (what was her signet again?)• Broken arm.
