The God we serve never breaks covenants, NEVER. That is why he called, THE FAITHFUL ONE. Those of us who serve God can be rest assured that he will keep his promises.

Today's Psalms are a prayer for Israel, an appeal for justice to be restored, a prayer that conspiracies against the nation would not stand. We know the outcome though, Istael and Judah would eventually be carried off to exile. The lessons for us here today is to pay attention and learn the lessons from the mistakes the nation made so we do not make the same in our lives turning to idols against God.

This morning, the message is simple, REMEMBER. Recall how the Lord was faithful to you yesterday and you will find it easy to be hopeful for tomorrow. The human heart is so fickle, it forgets so easily. As we read about how Israel forgot everything God did and they were many, make a commitment to remember. Your God is the same, yesterday, today and forever. Halleluyah!

Today, we focus on thanksgiving. Asaph said, "we thank you, O God! We give thanks because you are near." My inclination oftentimes is to give thanks for the seemingly unimportant things, but who give thanks just because God is near? I do, and you should too. Use today to thank God for the most basic things God has blessed you with, things you'd normally take for granted.

David said he had learned to praise God from his childhood. And now that he is older, he had learned to praise God in and through every situation. Praising God through a situation requires courage and faith, for one, you are praising a God you can't see and might not even have heard from. If there is one thing I am certain of though, God does not ignore those who praise him from a pure heart. PRAISE THE LORD!

Two vital lessons in today's devotional; once God speaks, but it resounds in creation again and again that power belongs to God. We declare this morning that power belongs to you O God, not the government, not our dependants, not even in ourselves, power belongs to you O God. Secondly, praising God is the right thing to do. When you are tempted to look at everything this life is throwing at you, don't, praise God instead.

"When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the towering rock of safety" - Psalm 61:2. David perfectly understood a truth many Christians just don't get today, that God was his fortress, a rock he could stand on and a place of safety. Today, you see people looking for safety everywhere else; in men of God, in the anointing oil, on a mountain somewhere, in mantles. My charge is, return to your place of safety, return to a deep fellowship and walk with this God.

Psalms 51, David returns with a cry of repentance, he had sinned and was very sorry. As David pours out his heart to the Lord, that tells us to also leave all our burdens with the Lord. What are those burdens you have refused to let go? Are you tired, burnout and in despair, it is time to unburden and leave it all at the Lord's feet. Jesus sys, Matthew 11:28; "come to me, all of you who are weary and carry burdens, and I will give you rest". The Lord will give you rest today, in Jesus mighty name.

If there is a Psalm you want to read every day, it is Psalm 50. " Bring my faithful (saints) people to me - those who have made a covenant with me by giving sacrifices " says the Lord. They relied on the blood of animals, we trust in the perfect sacrifice of Jesus on Calvary's cross through which we are in a covenant relationship with God. It also says in verse 14 and 23; "make thankfulness your sacrifice to God..." and, "giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honours God." I am saying this morning, it might not be easy, it might not even make sense, but the right thing to do is to give thanks to God.

Have you had times when you were so depressed and discouraged for a prolong period but for no real reason? Today's devotional Will speak to you; why are you cast down o my soul? Why are you discouraged? My prayer for you this morning is; the Lord will answer those questions you can't even bring yourself to asking anyone else, he will fill you with the joy and satisfaction only his presence can bring in Jesus' name.
