Today's devotional simply says, trust in the Lord and wait patiently. You see, apart from God nothing and no one else satisfies. Lord, let all who love your salvation, say continuously, let the Lord be magnified. Let all who trust you be able to sing in praises in Jesus name.

Psalms 36 is one of my most exciting Psalms, actually, the worshipper, Don Moen wrote a song from here; "Your steadfast love, extends to the heavens. Your faithfulness, it reaches to the cloud. Your righteousness, is like majestic mountain. And your wisdom's like the depth of the sea..." Don Moen was trying to help us see how great God's; love, faithfulness, righteousness and wisdom is. My prayer for you today is that you will taste, and you see that God is faithful.

David wrote Psalms 32 at a very difficult season in his life. He had taken Uriah's wife and committed murder to cover it up. But just when he thought his sins were covered, God confronted him through the prophet Nathan, his sins eventually literally found him out. Instead of continuing to hid, David turned to the Lord. This is God's word for you today, don't hid from the Lord. Today's Psalm teaches us that we can trust in God's deliverance and salvation when we call on him.

The LORD gives help for today and hope for tomorrow, in the face of opposition David said, "I will put my hope in God", isn't that wonderful. My advise to someone listening in this morning is, put your hope in God. In the face of this relentless taunt and torment, put your hope in God. He has never failed before and he is not going to now just because it's you.

Psalms 23 and 24 are probably the most popular Psalms for most people; "The Lord is my shepherd, I have all that I need" and "Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of glory enter". Both Psalms teach us profound lessons about our shepherd-sheep relationship with God on the one hand, and that with God on our side, every door shut against us will be opened. I will also like to lay some emphasis on Psalm 22. This Psalm is part of what we call a Messanic Psalms. It predicts the actions and what the Messiah will suffer with pinpoint accuracy hundreds of years before he showed up. As you read and listen along with me today, allow your heart be filled with this assurance that your life is hidden in Christ, in God.

You probably never realized it but, I want you to be certain in your heart from today that God answers prayers. I know it takes faith to be sure that the prayers you are saying in your little corner reaches the throne room of the ancient of days, but the Lord will have me say to you, your prayers are answered, speedily Jehovah will intervene and cause you to rejoice over the enemy, in Jesus mighty name. Halleluyah!

In the seven Psalms we read today, David shows an understanding of God like no one ever did in the old testament. I am not sure how God felt hearing someone say, "I love you LORD", it was so out of place but that was David. When Job charged God with being unfair, going through similar issues, David say, while I accept the wicked seem to prosper....they don't understand it is because God is loving but he will bring justice in time. As you read today's Psalms, understand that God never fails us, no matter what our circumstances are.

Can God defend us from lies, can we trust him to deliver us from trouble? Can we trust God to be fair and to bring justice when we are mistreated and on the wicked? The answers to all of these is obviously yes. From David's perspective in today's Psalms, God can deliver, he hears us when we call. As we read and listen to today's Psalms, please be rest assured that you are so precious to God and he watches over his own. My prayer for you today is that God will lead you into a deeper walk with him in Jesus' name.

We start a new book today, the book of Psalms. No other book is quoted from in the New testament as much as the book of Psalms is, it practically saw into what the life of the New testament believer would be like. The Psalms are written poetry style so you would enjoy them more and understand their meanings better by reciting and meditating on them. More than half of the Psalms were written by David and he often spoke about his deep relationship with God during various encounters, As such, no other book will help you connect and understand various human emotions and expressing them to God like the book of Psalms. As we conclude the book of Job, please take this with you, the things that are revealed are ours, but the secret things belong to God. There will always be answers we can't find and that is perfectly okay, just leave it to God, trust him to keep his word, he would surely not fail.
