Hatred is everywhere, every day. Revenge seems so sweet, right? No! As Christians, we have to let God handle everything. We should pause and think, "Do we want God to vindicate and protect us, or do we want to handle things ourselves?" Whatever situations we find ourselves in, we can say, “God, You take care of it. Be my vindication.” He'll do it!

How long should we wait for God to answer our prayers? Haven’t we all felt like begging Him to hurry up? Waiting is the hardest part of faith. But God has His reasons. He is full of wisdom, and He knows what's best for us. Let's not move on and make matters worse when God wants us to wait.

Life can make us sorrowful. The joy of the Lord, however, lives in our hearts. These two polar opposites can exist within us at the same time. How? Circumstances fluctuate, but Jesus never changes. He is our joy! We always have a reason for living—praising the Lord who is the source of all our comfort and joy.

One of the privileges of being in God’s family is being able to talk to our Father and know that He hears us. No matter what kind of father we've had on earth—alcoholic, abusive, neglectful, or loving and present—we have the best as our heavenly Father. Let’s praise Him for that. We have a Father in heaven who loves us unendingly!

Are you feeling discouraged or like life has no purpose? Call on God. He didn’t create us to walk around brooding and despondent. The Lord is our shield against attacks of discouragement. He lifts our heads so we can focus on His power when we call on Him!

Elections, dictators, and policies are all stressful elements of today’s news! But we have one true leader, and His name is Jesus. Governments may go against God, but they plot in vain. The Lord will have the final say on everything. Praise God that we Christians serve the living King. We are on the winning side!

“Blessed” in the Bible means “happy.” The first Psalm tells us that a blessed person has a relationship with the Lord. When we are close with our Creator, our spiritual lives becomes like trees—sturdy, rooted, living. The choice we have to make every day is to pursue that close and rooted relationship with God.
