QUESTION: Have you ever made a decision that had an impact on everyone in your life?

 Let us bring this metaphor up to the 21st Century, your job is Ishmael, and your gift is Isaac. 

For the past two years we have had to choose our jobs, like an Ishmael as a substitute over the Proverbs 18:16 gift, talents, and abilities, which is our Isaac.

Hopefully, on this Daily Faith Walk, we can come up with a strategy for obtaining and maintaining both. 

In the good book, there was this wife name Sarai, who did not have a child (gift), so she took it upon herself to ask Abram the husband to make this happen with one of their handmaids. After, a couple of rocky years had passed and so did the promise and purpose for Abraham.

            Twelve days into the fast, and I am riding high off my blessings and favor, but I must be careful not to insert my will over God’s will. Well, that thought lasted for a minute, because I did not ask God if it were his will for me to get a seasonal job with Jackson Hewitt, or buy that mini truck, which would be neglecting my commitment to keeping a 3.0 GPA or higher, to achieve the calling on my life and maximizing the experience and education to assist others in accomplishing the same.

God’s will for us is to be deployed, not just employed, out in the world to prove how your gift will make room for you and bring you before great men and opportunities, while making room for ours at the same time. Also, God's will show us how to survive, be successful and most importantly significant. Its man's will to ask God to enlarge his territory, but God's will and desire is to enlarge the space between are ears first to manage the massive territory.

          Down to twenty-four dollars in my checking account, something said check with students accounts to see if that refund hit yet. Yes! I had a cash refund check coming to me on Monday for $500 dollars. Praise the Lord for he is to be praised. Thinking wow, this is the last day of the fast and God showed up and showed out. Mixing man’s will with God’s to make me feel better about the dumb decisions I was about to make, such as purchasing a vehicle that has not be checked out by a mechanic, counting a paycheck from Jackson Hewitt for a job I haven’t even started, and use what was left, I would buy books with it.

The truck/car ended up putting me down, the first time I drove it to school, every time I stopped at a red light or on a hill it stopped on me.

I do not own the rights to this music, but I do agree with the title by the late Nipsey Hussle, "Perfect Timing", which is another Oxymoron up for discuss on my Daily Faith Walk Podcast Episode #40 entitled, " Submerged for Greatness."

Submerged for greatness and perfect timing are working for you to achieve your goals and dreams. But how, glad you asked.

A man name Gideon was hidden from his enemies, doing odd jobs around town, when God said he was to deliver the people of Israel from the Midianites. But Gideon was insecure and didn’t feel qualified to do anything great. 

Question: Have you downgraded yourself because of past failures?
Remember you failed not because your plan didn't work, but by sticking to it.
I believe we all have been there a time or two, especially since covid-19 came on the scene eliminating essential jobs, such as daycare, human services, not to mention the pleasures in life from having a pretty decent job, like traveling to foreign counties, being at sport events.
Now, it feels like you are submerged in darkness and there is no way out. You only get to come up for air for breathing nothing else.

Being submerge seems like a death sentence, but it is actually a place for God to separate you from what was limiting you and showing that your resourcefulness is better than your resource that may have been limited.
For example, a professional swimmer is put through intense training of being submerged under water for a long period of time to people like you and me. But the coach knows what the competition is like in the Olympic games.

The same applies to your goals and dreams, just because your resources are slack, causing those goals and dreams to be delayed, remember a delay is not a denial. God is calling you to float back up to the top, with higher expectations and bigger dreams because you discovered your resourcefulness while submerged for greatness.

I am going to leave you with a few quotes to ponder on while, taking a spiritual or physical daily faith walk.

 With the Daily Faith Walk Episode 39 " IF YOU W.A.I.T. YOU CAN GO". I realize this word wait contains two conflicting ideas. One would call it the "One-Word Oxymoron", but it is also an acronym for Walk Align In Time with the Holy Spirit, which we will discuss in this episode quite a bit.
 
 Now it does sound like a play on words, but in fact it is an "act of obedience "based on Kingdom Living Principles.
 
 QUESTION: Why should you W.A.I.T. so you can GO? (Walk Algin in Time with the Holy Spirit)
 
 In today's society, waiting is a bad word. We see waiting as procrastination, indecisive, a distraction or laziness. But sometimes we must W.A.I.T. on achieving our dreams and goals. 
 
 Walking Align in Time with the Holy Spirit requires you to have the right view, intention, right actions, and right motive. For example, you are at a 4-way stop sign, after coming to a complete stop. The next move toward your goal, which is the stop sign on the right, but the stop signs on the left has your dreams and straight ahead is the world stop sign, loaded with obstacles, challenges, past failures, and doubts. In some cases, you have the right of way, but the next time it may be the world’s time to go first. That is when the W.A.I.T. comes into play.
 
 The good book tells me that the Holy Spirit has come to lead and guide us into all truth. (John 16:13).
