Hi Everyone,
It's Gillilan here from DailyKetoMeals.com.
Today, you’ll learn how many grams of protein you should eat.
Protein is the building block of life.
It’s essential in your diet.
So how much should you eat?
Well, it depends on how active you are.
Generally you want to get between .35 and .7 grams of protein per pound of weight. The more active your lifestyle, the higher you should go.
For now, if you’re unsure, use 0.45. It’s a great place to start.
So let’s do an example:
Let’s say you weigh 210 pounds.
The calculation would be as follows…
210 pounds x 0.45 = 94.5.
So 94.5 grams of protein per day.
And remember that’s not 94.5 grams of chicken, beef or fish. That’s the amount of protein within the meat you need to eat.
So if you ate 175 grams of chicken, or about 6 ounces, for lunch and dinner, you’d reach your protein goals for the day.
Simple.
And… if you’re ever unsure how much protein your food has, just read the label carefully.
Otherwise Google “How many grams of protein is in 6 ounces of chicken” and you’ll get an answer straight away.
Counting your macros doesn’t have to be rocket science.
Once you’ve done it a few times, you’ll know how to choose meals without counting macros or calories.
