  • Your Podcast. Your Standards | #505

I was recently asked a question during a fireside chat about what happens when potential guests feel entitled to a spot on your show. This was my answer.

→ Why a guest discovery call is an assessment, not a confirmation

→ The difference between guests who respect the medium and those who just want access

→ Why your standards exist to protect your listeners, your business, and your family

If you've invested the time, energy, and money into building a podcast that serves your audience and generates revenue for your business, this one is for you.

  • Be the Coach You Want to Be | #504

    Book discovery call here: joewintersjr.com/start

In the coaching industry, there's a lot of telling coaches who they should be. I don't agree with that. I believe in helping people think for themselves. So today I'm asking you three questions that I believe every coach needs to sit with.

When I look at what makes a great coach, a lot of it comes from the sports world. Great coaches win championships and prepare their athletes to be great beyond their sport.

In business coaching, I see three levels: creating transformative results is winning championships, making progress without the transformation is a winning season, and missing the mark entirely is a losing season.

The difference between those levels comes down to who the coach is. Their being. Their essence.

In this episode, I break down three questions every coach should answer honestly:

→ What do you stand for, and what do you stand against?

→ How do you communicate, and are you willing to evolve?

→ What is your process for self-reflection so you can continue growing no matter what?

I also share a story about a fitness coach whose business strategy revealed something most people don't want to talk about, why I believe Nick Saban's approach to recruiting athletes applies directly to how coaches should attract clients, and why blaming the person you're trying to influence for your ineffectiveness is a recipe for staying exactly where you are.

My daughter challenged me to a warmup lap at the track. She's in better shape than me. She still lost. The reason why is the same reason most B2B coaches struggle to build their business. In this episode, I break down why talent and drive will only take you so far without an effective strategy, and what to do about it.

  • Why Successful Entrepreneurs Struggle to Become Coaches | #501

What’s really stopping you from becoming the thought-leader you’re meant to be?

In this episode of Daily Path Podcast, I break down the real reason so many capable, successful entrepreneurs hesitate to step into thought-leadership — and how to fix it.

If you’ve ever caught yourself thinking:

    • “I want to be a business coach… but who would actuallypay me?”
    • “I want to share my story… but who would listen?”
    • “I want to write a book… but what if no one buys it?”

    You’re not alone — and you’re notunqualified.

I explain why doubt isn’t a skill issue, confidence issue, or experience issue. It’s an identity issue.

Drawing from personal reflection, conversations with 6–8 figure entrepreneurs, and a powerful devotional insighton “embracing the new you,” this episode explores why so many people stay stuck seeing themselves as who they used to be — even after life and success have clearly moved them forward.

    In this episode, you’ll learn:

    • Why successful people stillstruggle to own their voice
    • The hidden cost of staying silentafter you’ve already succeeded
    • How to audit your circle so itsupports who you’re becoming — not who you were
    • A simple reflection exercise toreconnect with the growth you’ve earned
    • Why thought-leadership starts withpermission — and how to give it to yourself
    • How to practice the identity ofthe thought-leader you’re becoming (not just talk about it)

The truth is simple: You already have the experience. Youalready have the results. The only thing left is embracing who you are now.

If you’re ready to stop doubting your voice and start leading with it, this episode is for you.

In this episode, I break down why projecting your insecurities into your business is the number one reason coaches don't see the success they could be seeing, how lowering your standards to get in the room is the business equivalent of entering the dating market with no requirements, and why accepting arrangements that don't reciprocate your value is not a strategy, it's a habit that will cost you.

I also share a recent experience where someone wanted me to show up and gift my expertise to their organization, and when I shared what I'd need in return, they passed. No bad blood. Just a clear reminder that hope is not a strategy and your standards are not negotiable.

Whether you're just getting started or you've been coaching for years and you're still undercharging or over-giving, this episode will challenge you to stop settling and start operating like the expert you already are.

One of her coaching clients listened to her podcast for six years before ever reaching out. When they finally did, they signed a six-figure contract.

In this episode, I sit down with a coach and entrepreneur who went from ER nurse to network marketing millionaire to running a high-ticket coaching business with a rev share model built in.

We talk about the money stories that keep coaches from charging what they're worth, why she was scared to ask for $1,000 while making a million dollars a year, and why she believes you should never coach your friends.

If you're a coach trying to figure out how to price your services, attract premium clients, and build a business that reflects the value you actually bring, this episode is for you.

    In this episode, we cover:

→ How she went from choosing a career at 13 based on job security to building a multimillion-dollar coaching business

→ The mindset shift that took her from $1,000 engagements to six-figure contracts with rev share

→ Why selling a physical product felt easy but charging for coaching felt impossible

→ The one rule she follows to protect her friendships as a coach

→ How her podcast became the primary source of her one-on-one clients

→ The Take Seven Method and why knowing what's not working is the first step

He reached out to someone he already knew, asked for a testimonial for his website — and that conversation turned into his first paying client.

In this episode, I sit down with a leadership and executive coach who left a 13-year career as an executive pastor to launch his own coaching and consulting business. We get into how he's using personality assessments and workshops to help churches and businesses resolve team conflict, improve leadership, and avoid shutting their doors for good.

We also talk about what happens when a prospective client tells you your price point is "choking" them — and how to respond without retreating, discounting, or losing your confidence.

If you're a coach who's still figuring out how to land clients, price your services, and stay encouraged when the pipeline feels slow, this one's for you.

    In this episode, we cover:

→ How he transitioned from law enforcement to ministry to full-time coaching

→ The assessment trifecta he uses to diagnose leadership dysfunction

→ Why churches are closing and what it reveals about leadership in any organization

→ The direct mail strategy that gets him in front of 60+ decision-makers at once

→ How to handle pricing objections without devaluing yourself

→ The one trait that separates coachable leaders from everyone else

April 10th marks the eight-year anniversary of Daily Path Podcast, and to celebrate, I'm sharing three things I wish I knew about leveraging a podcast to build a profitable coaching business when I got started back in 2018.

In this episode, I break down the difference between selling sessions at an hourly rate and selling the outcome of your program, why I was met with two types of opposition when it came to building a profitable coaching business, and why your podcast is your number one stage and not a stepping stone for getting on someone else's.

Whether you're a coach just getting started or you've been in the game for years and your podcast still isn't generating clients, this episode will challenge how you think about your offer, your relationship with money, and the platform you're building on.

  • Most Business Coaches Build Their Business in the Wrong Order | #495

Ready to build a podcast that generates high-ticket clients for your coaching business? Book a free discovery call: https://www.joewintersjr.com/start | Email me: [email protected]

Most entrepreneurs who want to become a business coach don't fail because they lack knowledge. They fail because they built their coaching business in the wrong order. In this episode, I walk you through the five steps I would take if I were starting a coaching business from scratch — based on what I got right, what I got wrong, and what I would do differently after launching Daily Path Academy as a 25-year-old college graduate with no audience and no credibility.

I break down why committing to a target market matters more than your messaging, why your signature program needs a clear roadmap before you ever create content, why cheap infrastructure is quietly killing your premium positioning, how a podcast becomes a branding, marketing, and sales tool when built on the right foundation, and why outreach only works when the other four steps are already in place.
