June 28, 2024 How GOP Lawmakers Plan to Strip Government of All DEI Programs
A group of Republican lawmakers is working to strip all DEI programs out of the government through legislation they call the Dismantle DEI Act.

“This bill goes through the federal government and works to remove the officers, the programs” centered on DEI, or diversity, equity, and inclusion, Rep. Michael Cloud, R-Texas, says.

Cloud and Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, along with 20 other members of Congress, introduced the Dismantle DEI Act to end the use of taxpayer money to fund programs that Cloud says are discriminatory in nature.
DEI programs “make race the very first lens in which you interpret everything,” Cloud said, adding that millions in taxpayer dollars are being spent on something that “produces no value for anyone.”

Cloud joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to explain how the Dismantle DEI Act would work if passed and enacted. The Texas lawmaker also discusses growing threats along the southern border and how his fellow Texans view the border crisis.

Rep. Beth Van Duyne's amendment to the $883.7 billion fiscal 2025 NDAA would block President Joe Biden’s Defense Department from using federal funds to reimburse abortion-related expenses. Van Duyne told The Daily Signal her amendment would roll back Biden's illegal Department of Defense travel policy issued in a memo on Oct. 20, 2022, which she said was "in clear violation of historic bipartisan norms and current law."

Long before Hamas’ horrific Oct. 7 attack on Israel, the Jewish homeland was already a flash point of controversy on college campuses and among an increasingly anti-Israel segment of younger Americans who make up Gen Z.

Jeff Myers, president of Summit Ministries, had taken note of the troubling trend and embarked on a trip to Israel just about 100 days after the Oct. 7 attack to meet with Jews and Arabs, peace activists, and soldiers.

He’s now written a new book, “Should Christians Support Israel? Seeking a Biblical Worldview in an Impossible Situation,” which Summit Ministries is making available for free with a donation.

“Jews have a physical presence in the land of their history,” Myers said. “Whether you agree with how it happened or how they are stewarding it, this is the reality. It is also a reality that Israel is under attack from every quarter in a battle between competing worldviews. The history of Palestine, the religion of Islam, and the aims of the apocalyptic rape-and-death cult called Hamas all figure in a larger struggle for truth. This is what we urgently need to understand.”
