We want to make our lives better, yet we stop ourselves from moving forward. It’s akin to having a civil war between opposing forces within us. 

This war is mainly due to conflicting desires and a few blind spots in our vision and perception that lead us to poor judgments. The lack of clarity and prioritization that we experience due to them keeps this war going.

Easy has been defamed and equated with laziness. This is false. Easiness can propel efficiency; we just need to figure out what our level of easiness is and then go from there.

Things are supposed to be easy and effortless so that we live a life filled with clarity and peace. And if they're not, we always have a choice to find ways to make them easier or switch to a different path that is easier and better aligns with us.

The ego wants us to get in the comparison trap and stay there. It compels us to do whatever it takes to keep up with others even if the actions and behaviors that we participate in are stupid, unproductive, destructive, and not in alignment with our true selves. In order to become a part of a group, we desert our authentic selves and the meaningful pursuit of personal expansion. In other words, our ego and its selfishness, neediness, compulsions, addictions, and inane obsessions keep us anchored and stuck.
