This is the seventh and final installment in Eric Ludy’s series entitled The Muscular Christian. In this episode he explores the inherent awkwardness associated with following Christ in an anti-Christ culture. The muscular Christian doesn't attempt to wish this phenomenon away, but rather embraces it as a secret to growing strong in and through the awkardness.

Before Jesus ascended, He gave the Church a mission—to preach the Gospel and make disciples of all the nations. This mission from our King has not changed, yet many of us prefer to be passive in our faith, rather than be bold and risk everything for the King and His Kingdom. In this session, we examine the King’s mission and our call to live empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfill it.

This is the sixth installment in Eric Ludy’s series entitled The Muscular Christian. In this episode he unpacks the idea of self-control. God has entrusted each of us with a body (a boxing ring), but without the aid of the Holy Spirit we are unable to master this body and subject it to the priority of Jesus Christ. However, at the Cross and via His resurrection and ascension, Jesus has supplied us with everything we need for life and godliness. He has given us precisely what we need to control the ring.

In this episode, they examine book number three and a woman whose life was one of great suffering but also tremendous joy and trust.

All of Scripture leads us to the pinnacle of the King and His birth, ministry, death, resurrection, and ascension. In this study, we examine how the Gospels declare forth the beauty and blessing of God coming in the flesh. To miss this, is to miss everything we need for life and godliness.

This is the fifth installment in Eric Ludy’s series entitled The Muscular Christian. In this episode he explores the concept of fearlessness. Many Christians today have accepted anxiety and fear in their life as if it were a necessary evil. However, God's Word enunciates a very different way of living. The question is: are we going to believe the mediocre patterns of modern Christianity or the clear Word of Scripture?

Our modern culture dislikes waiting for anything. Yet we see the incredible patience of God and His people as they waited a millennium for the coming King. Through the time of kings and prophets, there was a yearning for the fullness of the King and Kingdom. In this session, we examine the overarching time period of waiting from the time of Joshua, to the crowning of King Saul and King David, through the divided Kingdom, the declaration of the prophets, and the four hundred years of “silence”—and how the nation of Israel was a Kingdom in waiting.
