The emphasis of Paul’s incredible prayer is the life and love of Jesus Christ demonstrated and experienced in the depths of every believer. The heart of the prayer is found in the phrase “strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man.” In this expositional message, Nathan Johnson explores this profound and essential concept of which the rest of the prayer flows from. As Christians, we must be strengthened and empowered by the Spirit of God in our inner being (our mind, heart, will, emotions, and conscience) if we desire to practically live the life of a Christian.

In this episode he discusses the ethics of foreign missions. Is it our job as Christians to poke our noses into the cultural and religious affairs of others? Should we just mind our own business? Or is our business the actual invading of foreign places where the Gospel has not yet been heard and delivering the Gospel in order to wholly alter that culture?

This is the sixth episode in Eric Ludy’s epic fall Daily Thunder series drawing on the boldness and bravery of the fearless missionary ventures to Irian Jaya (Papua New Guinea) during the twenty-five years from WW2 up until the massive harvest of souls in the 1960’s. In this episode he unpacks the theological mindset that the missionaries of this past century shared that led them to radical givenness and great risk on the mission field. And it’s a mindset that, for the most part, is no longer present in the modern Church. Simply put, the mindset was, “Bring back the King!”
