There is major good news for Ukraine today, and it is not about overnight drone strikes, deep strikes, or battlefield movements. EU member states have agreed to officially open accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova, beginning with the “fundamentals” cluster after years of delay.

That matters because Ukraine is not just fighting for territory. Ukraine is fighting for its future place in Europe.

Ukraine sent roughly 250 drones into Russia while Putin's own overnight attack on Ukraine was far smaller and mostly intercepted. The result is a bad picture for Moscow: refineries burning, chemical plants hit, air defenses pulled toward Putin's own protection, and a possible missile retaliation warning hanging over Ukraine.

Ukraine struck deep into Russia overnight on June 12, hitting major oil refineries in Tatarstan, chemical and industrial facilities, logistical sites, command posts, communications nodes, warehouses, troop bases, and occupied areas across Ukraine's south and east. The video walks through the scale of the refinery targets, the damage to Russia's petroleum and industrial sectors, and the way Putin's air defenses appear increasingly concentrated around the Kremlin and his Valdai residence instead of protecting broader strategic infrastructure.

When Russia launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022, the numbers seemed overwhelming.
