Trying new things in your health journey also keeps things fun and interesting.
In this episode, I take you through six things I have tried so far this year. I'll share what worked and what didn't.
I'll also give you some tips on HOW to implement new habits into your life.
Resources -
The trace mineral liquid supplement I tried and didn’t really like. In case you are curious.
Electrolyte powders to try:
*Note that these both have natural flavors which I’m not happy with. If you know of a good one without, let me know.
UPDATE - by the end of the year, I started just sprinkling some sea salt into my mouth a few times a day before I drink water and am using that for minerals! Cheap and easy!
Castor Oil Packs: I use the one by Queen of Thrones. I bought their liver pack with the cloth and organic castor oil.

We’re going to talk about 3 things in this episode that are easily misdiagnosed and when they are diagnosed, typical treatment options aren’t very promising.
I am quite sure that everyone listening knows someone affected by one of these diagnoses and I’m hoping that you will listen with that person in mind and share this episode with them.
Because there is indeed hope for Lyme Disease, Autism Spectrum Disorder and PANS/PANDAS.
Dr. Lindsey Wells is a Naturopathic Doctor from Connecticut that actually specializes in treating patients that have these struggles and has seen amazing, positive outcomes in her patients.
She truly believes that treating children and their families with naturopathic medicine leads to healthier individuals and stronger family units.
Dr. Wells is the President of the Connecticut Naturopathic Physicians Association (CNPA) and a Fellow with the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs.
She’s also written an awesome children’s book: Super Sam and the Battle Against PANS/PANDAS.
Our son was diagnosed with Lyme Disease at 12 years old and we have fought for his healing, so I know the value of what Dr. Wells is doing and the hope that is truly possible. Can’t wait for you to hear her stories!

Christine Muldoon is a mama and Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, seeing clients both virtually and in person. She is also co-host of Modern Ancestral Mamas Podcast!
At Nourish the Littles, her work focuses on teaching parents how to support their child’s health through ancestral nutrition.
We have such a helpful conversation on this episode!
Christine follows the ancestral food guidelines found in the book, “Nourishing Traditions”. She talks about how she came to the conclusion in her journey that ancestral foods were the common sense approach to food. Ancestral foods look quite different than the standard American diet (SAD). But as you all know, the SAD hasn’t done us any favors and Americans are sicker than ever.
So as you hear about these sacred, ancestral foods and imagine incorporating them into your home, remember that to change the trajectory of your family’s health, you will have to do something very DIFFERENT than the SAD.
I, personally, incorporate many of these foods into my family’s diet and it’s been a journey that’s taken time and patience. I mean, your family is not going to clap for you the first time you put organ meats on the table!
Christine gives us some great encouragement and tips for incorporating these ancestral foods into our family’s diet.
If you’re ready to think about nutrient-dense eating as a family, you’re in for a treat!

I start this interview by having Dr. Lawrence Palevsky tell us his story of how he “switched” to a holistic approach to pediatrics. His story is amazing! What a journey!
Dr. Lawrence Palevsky is a holistic pediatrician who has been practicing for more than 20 years, a diplomate of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine, and Past-President of the American Holistic Medical Association. While continuing in his pediatric practice, he also teaches holistic integrative pediatric & adolescent medicine to parents, and medical and allied health professionals, both nationally & internationally.
His curious and investigative approach to medicine is so refreshing.
You’ll walk away with a new understanding of:
I really appreciated his humility, willingness to share and talk about “hard topics”.
Personally, I walked away with a desire to learn more about several topics! I think you will, too!
