She's battled broken bikes, broken body parts and every challenge Dakar can throw at you and still came out undefeated in finishes while quietly cracking into the top finishes on a regular basis.

More than just a dominant female competitor, Laia Sanz is just a fierce competitor. A good thing, too, because this year's rally with test her more than ever. After a recent diagnosis of Lyme disease, Laia knows she's not 100% for 2021's event.
