Dan Barracuda: Inside A Musician's Mind

The drums sound nice in this one! I forget which EZ Drummer kit I used for it but it fits the feel of the song well. Chords are G - Am - A - (Em). Can you hear vocals over this? It's got a stadium vibe to it!

Check it out - what else could it use in terms of arrangement?

I wanted to share with you guys the title and final track from my last album "Rooster Illusion" - and catch how I initially came across that name.

I ordered Komplete 12 this weekend. It's a massive sample library filled with 230 GB of ridiculously awesome sounds. I cannot WAIT. It's been nothing but tutorial videos for me! Also, hear my updates on Track 2 of my next album.

I posted this on IG/FB and asked them to name this style of music. Got some cool responses: Progressive Indian Rock, Raga Electronica, Indian Jazz/Folk Rock. One thing I really like here is what the strings are playing over the Tamboura drone!

Listen to this super sweet collaboration I did with an incredible bassist I reached out to on Instagram (@borisbassoficial). Love his tone! I can hear this in a movie or video game.

Collabs and Mixing have been on my mind a lot lately. Be smart about who you ask to collab with! And yeah, Graham Cochrane is incredibly helpful when it comes to mixing tips and tricks - go check out Recording Revolution!

John would've been 78 years old today. Happy birthday to my favorite musician. I owe so much to the work he put out, both with the Beatles and solo. The way he revealed his honesty is forever inspiring.

This riff tells the story of a spaceman floating around, biting the stardust and trying to find direction. Through some serious persistence, he then finds his lights, soaring up amongst the stars to infinity and beyond!

Check it out guys - this is my cover of a cover of a mashup. There is a really low quality recording on YouTube of A Perfect Circle playing a mashup of Lovesong by The Cure, and Diary Of A Madman by Ozzy. It's amazing. So I decided to cover it, while also using it as a mixing exercise. Let me know your thoughts on this!
