  • DSTW: Chainsmokers and Hotel Bars

Do you ever find yourself listening to that one Chainsmokers song about the girl that steals a mattress, and then do you think to yourself: "Self, I'm not so sure that girl is all she's cracked up to be." ME TOO! So take a juicy listen to the smooth and dulcet sounds of me breaking down exactly why I think the girl in that song sucks. Then stick around for another round of Question Time! Special thanks to Markus Vaughn for co-hosting, a whole litany of dumb podcast sponsors for not paying me to read your stupid stuff online, and to Budweiser for hopefully not suing me for paying homage to one of your commercials by, uh, playing the commercial.  Questions? Comments? Limericks? Anecdotes? Head on over to http://www.facebook.com/DanSavestheWorld to leave a note!

Don't forget to leave a review and tell your friends!

  • DSTW: Memorial Day and Comic Con

We're back for another fantastic episode of Dan Saves the World! We're joined this week by Bat-Huss to talk about none other than our favorite event of the year-- Nerd Christmas, aka Motor City Comic Con! What's so great about these comic conventions? I mean, they're sprouting up everywhere, so surely there has to be an allure. A draw. A certain, as the French say, I don't know what. We dig into all that goodness and then immediately start talking about other stuff that entertains us more. But first, I take a few minutes to get something off my chest about Memorial Day. I'm not saying everyone has to be the same in how they respect vets. But is it possible that people have been missing the point for some time now? Listen in and discuss!

  • VAUGHNCast- Episode 1!

Introducing today, for the very first time, the VaughnCast!

We've become such good friends with our longtime buddy Markus Ontario Vaughn that we decided to go ahead and give him his own podcast on the DSTW Podcast Network! Just when you thought you couldn't possibly take another bite of his delicious commentary, he just had to go and serve up a heaping helping of goodness from the Great North! (aka Canada)

The people have spoken and we here at the Network have heard your cries! Download this episode if you want a smattering of conversation about how to pick a winning horse at the races, or if you want to really listen to karaoke heroes delve into what's plaguing the karaoke scene these days.

This weeks sponsor is definitely not Blue Apron after this episode.

  • DSTW: Manliness

This week we bring back friend of the show Markus Vaughn for a fresh take on a common debate: Lebron v Jordan! What gives? Why do people keep wanting to compare these two? Is it even fair to compare two great NBA players? We dive in and try to parse a little bit of knowledge about the whole thing, eventually coming to the conclusion that it's a simple platform for projecting complaints about society. Fun stuff! Along the way we obviously fall into silly chats about the Writer's Strike being averted, drafting bad players, and our favorite segment of all: Question Time!

  • DSTW: Sittin' In A Car In Ann Arbor

This week we're back with Markus Vaughn himself, straight back to our podcast fresh off his heroic and all-too-realistic globetrotting adventures. Luckily he sticks around to regale us with tales of his adventures, and ultimately to help us test out our new roving studio on the mean streets of Ann Arbor, MI! This episode includes Catchin' Up, What Would You Reboot, and the always popular Question Time!

  • Dansplaining Episode 2: Sub-prime Mortgage Fun!

It's time to dispense with the idiotic crap that half-educated people tend to spout about subprime mortgages. Poor people didn't break the economy, but the loans they take out get blamed for it. What's the deal with that? Also, why do these tools to help poor people own a house end up being so maligned? We dig into it a bit. We also pull everything together to talk about how this is related to the Great Recession, or as I like to call it, the Shitfest Economic Clusterf*ck 2008! Don't forget to follow us on Facebook: Facebook.com/dansavestheworld or hit me up on Twitter: @dansbrain. Please take a moment to rate the show on iTunes as well!

  • Dansplaining Episode 1: Christina Aguilera "Dirrty" feat. Redman

We come back from hiatus with not just a new podcast, but introducing an entirely new podcast network. You see, demand could not be met for our tens upon tens of fans, so we had to grow. This is the first episode of our offshoot series, Dansplaining.

We take a semi-deep dive into the world of Christina Aguilera circa 2002. Namely, we take a while to discuss the genesis of the song Dirrty, including a ramp up to it and some theories about why it exists. Then we spend a few minutes discussing some thoughts about it, and ultimately wrap up with a few profound conclusions about Redman as well.

You won't want to miss it!

About Dan Saves the World

From the publisher's feed

From the corners of my big stupid brain to the vast emptiness of the internet. Depressing, hilarious, moving, chilling, erotic, deep, salty... all have been used to describe what critics* hail as "A sweeping movement in spoken word art. A true work of our generation. Can't miss."
