Dan vs The Screen

Spoilers abound!  We talk about The Girl on the Train, Middleschool: The Worst Years of My Life, and The Birth of a Nation.  Also, we sneak in a little talk about what the challenge should be next year. “Bad Ideas (clean)” Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

We’re over the hill!  And what better way to celebrate than to watch a mish-mash of fall movies?  Deepwater Horizon, Storks, Queen of Katwe, and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children are all crossed off the list, and a glimmer of hope appears: I might actually get caught up. “Bad Ideas (clean)” Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative … Continue reading "Episode 40"

We near Episode 40 as I cross Hillsong: Let Hope Rise, Snowden, and The Magnificent Seven off my list.  But with four more movies releasing the coming week, can I keep up? “Bad Ideas (clean)” Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

It’s a rough week, as I put When the Bow Breaks, Wild Life, Bridget Jones’ Baby, and Blair Witch onto the ‘Watched’ list.  Rachel and I talk about disappointing life choices in Bridget Jones and even more disappointing script choices in Blair Witch. “Bad Ideas (clean)” Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

I’m playing the catch-up game!  I manage to watch four movies (Southside With You, The Disappointments Room, Sully, and The Light Between Oceans) but I’m still not caught up!  I push one movie off until next week as four (or five) more hit theaters. “Bad Ideas (clean)” Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

It’s rough going as I only manage to watch two movies this week, Morgan and Hands of Stone.  Will I get caught up?  Will I fall behind?  Tune in next week to see if I’ve finally missed a movie!  (Nope) “Bad Ideas (clean)” Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

It’s a four-movie week!  War Dogs, The Mechanic: Resurrection, Hell or High Water, and Don’t Breathe are all behind me!  There’s tons more movies on the horizon, but I refuse to feel bad on a week when I managed to see four movies! “Bad Ideas (clean)” Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

Florence Foster Jenkins, Pete’s Dragon, Ben-Hur, and Kubo and the Two Strings are ALL checked off the list as the movie train barrels forwards!  War Dogs gets pushed to next week, and three new movies see wide release, just to keep the fall challenging. “Bad Ideas (clean)” Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

This is probably my favorite episode so far.  I run down Nine Lives and Sausage Party, two movies that are very . . . questionable.  Listen to find out which is the worse assault on the senses! “Bad Ideas (clean)” Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

If this episode weren’t three weeks late, it’d be an excellent hot take on Suicide Squad!  Plus some extra bits on Jason Bourne and Hillary’s America! But it definitely is three weeks late, so oh well. “Bad Ideas (clean)” Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/
