Music is a big deal to us. You'll hear it in every single episode. As fairly new participants to this podcast world, we've found that some podcasts have music in their episodes and some don't. We can't imagine a world in which Dancefloor Podcast didn't have music going on in the background, because it's such a part of the background of our lives. • The older I get, the more thankful I become for my mother, Kathering Reed, pushing me into music. It's survived past sport, athletics, etc. My Mom basically introduced me to every musical influence in my youth.
• "Music is perpetual, and only the listening is intermittent." - Henry David Thoreau - This is probably my favorite quote. I was introduced to it by Louie Giglio during one of his many influential sermons over the course of my life. My friend, Stacy Okland painted a handmade sign for my office and I get to see it regularly to remind me of my belief that God is always speaking, it's my hearing that can be weak at times.
• The background track at the beginning of the episode is titled holodomor by our musical friend Nathan Cooley...and it's pretty freaking awesome.

It's finally Spring, so we decided to talk about caring for our planet. Our friend, Andrew Fritz REALLY cares about taking care of our planet. He lives it in his daily life through his work with the Soil and Water Conservation District, the Gleaning Garden and Conspire. In this episode, he shares how he met God out in the woods as a child. Homelessness, Poverty, Inequity...these are complex and difficult realities for too many people in our world. David Klein was exposed to massive international poverty on a trip to Tijuana, Mexico in Gray's Training School. This was a catalytic event and David and his dog, Champ, began to dream about how to engage more deeply with the marginalized here in Indianapolis, Indiana. In the 1960's, Dr. George Land conducted a research study on Divergent Thinking, the essence of creativity. The studies concluded that we're born creative geniuses. However, as we age, there is an ever-increasing gap between Creator-Given Imagination and the way we process reality. "If God is a Creator, then part of being made in the image of God is this creative sense of wonder." Larry helps us wander through the ideas of Creativity, Imagination and Divergent Thinking and how to approach life, faith in Jesus, and the Bible.
