Have you ever known someone whose parents protected them from everything? Anytime they faced a challenge their parents were there to make sure they didn’t struggle. Maybe it was by paying any time they owed money. That person probably had an eye-opening experience the first time they encountered strife on their own. As Pastor Mark points out in today’s message, sometimes God will allow you to face some opposition so you learn how to fight. God uses the struggle to develop your character and to make sure you are equipped to face the enemy. Ultimately through developing your character with the struggle you become more like Him.
