The first six chapters of Daniel are in chronological order. The last six chapters are prophetic and not in chronological order. It is important to realize that God sees things all at one time. He often goes outside that historical timeline to convey the truth to us. We see things in a linear way, but God sees things all at once. In today’s message, Pastor Mark gives an analogy of seeing things from a hot air balloon. From the earth, we see the street in front of us, but from above, people are able to see several miles ahead. God has a different perspective than we do. We see what is happening now, but he sees the future and has a better view.
