It's our favorite time of year and just in time for this year's Dark History Con! This will be the sixth Brian has hosted and put together. This year it will be held at the I Hotel & Conference Center in Champaign IL. October 23rd will be a day filled with films, vendors, and many inspiring guests. August 1, 1966, the horrific and gruesome shooting at the University of Texas took place. Former Marine, Charles Whitman took the lives of 15 people and wounded 31 others during the 96 minute assault. As we are just past the 55 year anniversary of this fateful day we remember every victim including Whitman's own family who like many were unsuspecting and taken too soon. In 1984 the brutal killings that took place in a McDonalds restaurant in California left tragedy for patrons just looking to grab a quick bite. 21 people were killed and 19 injured in Huberty's "Hunting" spree.
