Darkness Radio goes on a Ghost Adventure to Horror Hotel with guest Jay Wasley

Jay Wasley has been an important aspect of the Travel Channel's hit series, Ghost Adventures, both behind and in front of the camera and has become a beloved member of the team. This is his first appearance on Darkness Radio. Today we discuss his work, experiences and the creepy new special Ghost Adventures: Cecil Hotel.

Stationed along downtown Los Angeles’ Main Street stands an infamous hotel with a checkered past beset by multiple suicides, murders, devil worshipping and serial killers. Perhaps it is most known for the recent mysterious death of a young girl named Elisa Lam, whose body was found in the hotel’s water tower without any explanation as to what may have happened. Her peculiar demise remains unsolved, and bizarre elevator surveillance video of Lam has fueled an abundance of theories, including that of supernatural forces. Now, for the first time ever, the Cecil Hotel is allowing cameras inside for an investigation of ghostly proportions in the two-hour special, GHOST ADVENTURES: CECIL HOTEL, launching on Discovery, Inc.’s new discovery+ streaming service beginning Monday, January 4, 2021.

Darkness Radio enters A Demon-Haunted Land: Witches, Wonder Doctors, and the Ghosts of the Past in Post WWII Germany with guest Monica Black

Today the boys take a look at a revelatory counter-history of postwar Germany, not as a reborn democracy but as a nation convulsed by apocalyptic visions, witchcraft trials, and supernatural obsessions.

In the aftermath of World War II, a succession of mass supernatural events swept through a war-torn Germany. As millions were afflicted by a host of seemingly incurable maladies (including blindness and paralysis), waves of apocalyptic rumors crashed over the land. A messianic faith healer rose to extraordinary fame, prayer groups performed exorcisms, and enormous crowds traveled to witness apparitions of the Virgin Mary. Most strikingly, scores of people accused their neighbors of witchcraft and found themselves in turn hauled into court on charges of defamation, assault, and even murder. What linked these events, in the wake of an annihilationist war and the Holocaust, was a widespread preoccupation with evil.

Darkness Radio turns our gaze to Strange Skies: UFOs with guest Ryan Sprague.

Ryan Sprague revisits the show to introduces brand new stories of those who have seen extraordinary things in our skies and how these incredible events have changed them. While reports of UFOs and close encounters are littered with dates, times, and descriptions, they rarely focus on the people who’ve had the experience. Could both the positive and negative implications, whether subtle or revelatory, further our knowledge of what these phenomena represent?

Ryan is host of Somewhere in the Skies podcast every Monday, and co-host the television series, 'Mysteries Decoded' on the CW Network for their UFO episodes.

Darkness Radio presents True Crime Tuesday is Seduced: Inside the NXVIM Cult with guest India Oxenberg.

We are joined by India Oxenberg for a look into her deeply personal docuseries, Seduced on STARZ.
NXVIM was from all appearances the answer so many sought to making a better life, to others, it quickly dissolved into a nightmare.

There was two things this cult didn't count on, Catherine Oxenberg and the love and determination of a mother to see her daughter through to safety under any circumstances and a Phoenix named India who rose from the ashes to put right what once was wrong.

This is India's story.
