In Episode 28, I interview Chinese Australian actress, Shu Hu. Born in China, she moved to Brisbane when she was 5. She studied Hotel Management and International Business at Griffith University in the Gold Coast, and after a stint working in that industry, she eventually transitioned to working in Finance, whilst slowly getting into acting. Eventually the role of Candy Law on the Australian SBS TV Series 'The Family Law' opened up for her, and she was able to focus on acting full time. She is currently based in Los Angeles. Born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Chanika immigrated to Western Sydney during Sri Lanka’s civil war. She has studied and worked in Sydney, London and LA. Now currently residing in Vancouver. In Episode 26 I speak to Marie Lahoud. Born and raised in Sydney, Australia as a first generation Lebanese Australian. She comes from a large family of 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls. She is also a proud Aunty of an 8 month old boy. Having studied a Bachelor of Business majoring in Marketing and E-business, she went on to work in the IT industry in marketing and product management for 12 years. In 2016 she decided it was time for a change and was getting tired of the rat race. She found herself quitting her job and volunteering at her church for a couple of days a week.
