The Biden administration is reportedly planning to carry out a major cyber attack on Russia in response to the 2020 SolarWinds hack, which Washington has pinned on Moscow. Dave explains that officials have offered little evidence to support Russian involvement, but are nonetheless planning to retaliate, risking a dangerous cycle of escalation.

The US Indo-Pacific Command has requested $27 billion over the next five years in order to confront China in its own backyard, urging for a deployment of missile systems in Guam and across the First Island Chain, not far from China's borders. The provocative proposal comes as Biden pursues the same belligerent policies as his predecessor, fielding warships into the Asia-Pacific to protect so-called "freedom of navigation" while emitting a steady stream of hostile rhetoric about the "threat" and "challenge" Beijing poses to US hegemony.

Biden renewed a 1995 executive order declaring a "national emergency" over the alleged Iranian threat, keeping "maximum pressure" on Tehran even as the administration pays lip service to diplomacy. Dave, Kyle and Will discuss how the president is sending all the wrong signals if he truly seeks to revive the 2015 nuclear deal, instead doubling down on all of the mistakes of the Trump administration, which failed miserably to achieve even its own ill-conceived goals.
