D2 spoke with the President and CEO of Utah's Committee for the games, Fraser Bullock previously, who shared insight on what buying tickets for the events will cost. Similarly to 2002, the Utah Olympic Committee is still committed to offering affordable options so everyone who wants to is able to experience the games. Debbie Dujanovic reported on ticket prices during the 2002 games, and compares what happened then to what we heard from Bullock yesterday. 

A new survey shows Americans are broke, with 34% of Americans living paycheck to paycheck according to Bankrate. Additionally, about 1 in 4 (or 24 percent) feel that they are not compensated fairly for their work. Dave and Debbie discuss and take listener calls.

The Secret Service said they knew a gunman was on the rooftop across from Former President Trump's rally in Penn a full 20 minutes before shots were fired. But, new information shows they had even longer and the shooter, Thomas Crooks, was a person of interest at least an hour prior to shots fired. Chris Burbank, former SLC Chief of Police, joins Dave and Debbie to discuss how law enforcement work directly with the secret service for these types of events. It's been announced that the President has COVID and has canceled a speech in Vegas. The White House is saying that the President is experiencing mild symptoms. This when Senate Majority Leader Schumer's presented the President with polling data that shows him losing to former President Trump and that it also affects races in the House and Senate. Boyd Matheson, Host of Inside Sources, joins D2 to discuss what this diagnosis means for Biden's campaign. It was a dangerous weekend in our state's parks. Three hikers died over the weekend, and two more are in medically induced comas after suffering injuries related to extreme heat out in the desert. How hot are the parks? Kevin Eubank, Chief Meteorologist at KSL, explains that Snow Canyon is about 5-7 degrees hotter than our temperature in SLC for this week, and Canyonlands roughly the same as here in SLC.

New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez has been found guilty, on all counts, for bribery and corruption. He's  been convicted of accepting lavish gifts, like home mortgages, cars and cash. Menendez says he will appeal ahead of his sentencing hearing scheduled for October 29th. The video of the confrontation posted on TikTok. Garna Mejia, KSL 5 TV, talks with Dave and Debbie about how the accused ended up going to jail. Were police already investigating him?
