The 2024 Utah Legislative Session is kicking off! Dave and Debbie listen live to speeches by Senate President Stuart Adams and Utah Speaker of the House Mike Shultz.

As the first day of the legislative session gets going, Dave and Debbie speak with Taylor Morgan Host of KSL @ Night about his top priorities on Capitol Hill and share insight on how Utah's Primary Caucus will work. 

Keeping an eye on the hill, D2 speaks with former Utah House minority leader, and current Representative Brian King (D- 23) about democrats' priorities in the coming legislative session and his upcoming plans in the race for Utah State Governor.

Affordable housing is a common priority on both sides of the aisle during the current legislative session. Utah State Governor Spencer Cox joins D2 to talk about the rise of median home prices, and how the Governor hopes to make more affordable starter homes available to young Utah families. Lt. Gov Diedre Henderson speaks on her priorities coming up including concerns and plans for Utah's mail-in ballots systems, and her new High School Service initiative. 

Reporting live from the capital, Dave and Debby discuss the Utah State 2024 legislative session. Senate President Stuart Adams joins D2 to lay out lawmaker's priorities for the next 45 days. Top of mind are initiatives involving mail-in ballots, affordable housing, bathroom policy, and unborn babies in the HOV lane.

An armed guard would be required at every single school building in the state among other safety measures under a new proposal for the 2024 Utah Legislative session.  KSL News Reporter Aimee Cobabe joins Dave and Debbie to discuss the implications of this proposal.
