The massive snow storm exposed a massive safety threat to Utah families. Some of them heard from neighborhood word-of-mouth to check the exterior vents in their homes. Natural gas ventilation systems for furnaces and water heaters that were quite low to the ground were easily clogged up from snow, and when a natural gas appliance can't vent… your home can fill with dangerous levels of CO, which is known as the silent killer. KSL 5 TV Reporter Karah Brackin describes what the snow has done to the vents in the area and the risk for homes in the neighborhood. Mike Wilson, Marketing Director at Any Hour Services, explains the dangers of CO and shares possible solutions, followed by listener calls.
