We spoke with Burgess Owens yesterday -- he's the Republican candidate in the Fourth District race for Congress. Recently, a donation to his campaign drew some scrutiny. We asked Burgess about the donation from Quin Snyder and the controversy it drew. Now we'll talk to Rep. Ben McAdams. Davis School District's hybrid schedule for students will soon be no more. After just 12 days into the school year, the Davis School District will soon bring students into schools for 4 days out of the week, rather than the alternating system they've had up to this point. Then, we dive into the situation at Canyons School District. The district has a dilemma on its hands--a rise in cases at two of its high schools, Alta and Corner Canyon, and the district's response has some teachers upset. We talked to Wendy Moss a local teacher (not in Canyons) who is part of a group called Safe Utah Schools. She gave us some insight into how teachers are feeling.

Hobby Lobby is boosting its minimum wage to $17 an hour. We know from our discussion yesterday that Amazon pays $15 an hour, and new hires get a $1000 signing bonus. We'll take a deep dive into how many companies are paying higher wages, and the companies where you might encourage your children to work.

It turned out to be a controversial set of donations -- Quin Snyder, head coach of the Utah Jazz, donated $500 to Burgess Owens twice. A reporter for the Salt Lake Tribune drew attention to it, calling into question whether or not this contradicts Quin's stance in support of Black Lives Matters (Burgess calls the organization Marxist). What investigators are looking at  If Salt Lake City Police release the body camera video of a 13-year-old boy shot in an officer-involved shooting within 10 business days -- which is their protocol -- that means we'll see it either Friday or at the latest Monday. We interviewed Chief Mike Brown last week, and have many more questions today. DA Sim Gill joins us to tell us what his office is looking at as it reviews whether or not the shooting is justified.
