There's a lot of frustration from Husky fans after the Oregon loss, and it's understandable to some extent. This hasn't been the season we'd hoped for, and at this point almost every major goal this team had is out of reach. Still, what do you want to do? Chris Petersen has had tremendous success with the program, and continues to recruit high-level guys. Basically every team in the Pac-12 would trade their coach for Petersen in a heartbeat sans maybe ...maybe Utah and Stanford. Softy says Oregon will mop the floor with WSU. The Huskies weren't necessarily expected to win that game, but had a decent chance, and with the loss, several goals for the season are now out of reach, including a potential Final Four appearance, a Rose Bowl appearance, and even a shot at the Pac-12 Championship. The Hawks on the other hand, probably should have won that game on paper, but came up way short, with lots of issues including Russell Wilson looking the worst he has all year. Softy is sticking with the Rams who gave him his only Fact or Fiction win last week. They'll crush the Bengals this weekend. Dick wonders, what if just a couple of lays had gone differently on Saturday? Would the Huskies have their sixth win?

The Hawks lost a game they weren't expected to lose yesterday, but is it time to panic?No, probably not. They're still 5-2, in a great spot for a wild card, and not far behind the Niners whose schedule gets a lot harder going forward. Nonetheless, there are things that aren't going as planned. The defense needs to take a big step forward. Also, they're 2-2 at home in a stadium that's known for creating a big home field advantage.
