Most people seem to be assuming that the Hawks will roll into Santa Clara and take care of business. If they do, they're in the playoffs for sure, but there's a lot about this game that suggests that maybe it won't be that easy. Is there a silver lining to a letdown game? Could a win with a struggle be the best case scenario for the team? After talking to some guys in the locker room, it's clear that a lot of them loved what Frank Clark had to say about Sherman after Monday's game. Early in his career, there weren't many guys who fired back at him, but maybe that's changing. Really though, t doesn't matter what Sherman has to say. When he retires, we'll embrace him here again, but right now he's the enemy. The Rose Bowl's three weeks away and we haven't talked much Dawgs, but we change that as Lawyer Milloy joins us. We get his thoughts on players skipping bowl games, the current Husky defense, and more. Today is the debut of this year's 12 Days of Christmas. Lee Sterling's got a few picks for Week 15.

Softy is out getting a root canal, so Terry Blount joins Dick at the VMAC. The Seahawks are almost certainly going to make the playoffs at this point, but how far do we realistically expect them to go? If they face Dallas on Wild Card Weekend, there's a decent shot that they win that game. If the Rams are their Divisional Round opponent, they might even be able to win that game. Once they meet up with the Saints though.... everyone's confidence level drops. Dick asks Terry how confident is is in the Dawgs' chances of winning the Rose Bowl, and how important is that win, and an overall strong bowl season showing to the conference?

Today, it's Dick and Terry in the Locker Room with Ed Dickson and Tre Flowers. Alright, we'll bite. A question on First Take this morning, did the Legion of Boom hold the Seahawks back? This week, Lou Piniella narrowly missed making the Hall of Fame by one vote. Dick notes that there's a lot of similarities between Piniella and Mike Holmgren. We've seen a trend in college football of guys sitting out bowl games in order to protect their draft stock. It's probably going to get worse before it gets better, but is it justifiable? Kevin Harlan talks all things football with Dick. The Athletic's Bob Young looks at threats by Robert Sarver, owner of the Suns, to move the team if he doesn't get what he wants. The Mariners realized they aren't going to get very far with the team they'd assembled, and burnt the whole thing to the ground. Was it the right move, and is there anyone they should keep?

It's another win for the Hawks who take down the Vikings and are one major step closer to making it back to the playoffs. No one thought this team would amount to anything three months ago, but here they are. It's another reminder that they're returning to their roots, with a bunch of guys with something to prove but no real expectations. Frank Clark talked with Softy in the locker room after last night's game. He spoke on Sherman's comments a few weeks ago, the team finally pushing past the SB49 loss, and more. There's a lot of controversy today surrounding Bobby Wagner's blocked field goal, and if you're being honest, the Hawks got away with this one.
