Dave 'Softy' Mahler and Dick Fain

Paul Allen had an immeasurable impact on the city of Seattle in a myriad of ways, not the least of which being his time as the owner of the Seahawks. Allen was a quiet man, but we can't forget the speech he gave at the 2014 Super Bowl Parade at CenturyLink Field. Mr. Allen built this team for success, not only for the past two decades, but for the future as well. We got so wrapped up in honoring Paul Allen that we missed Fact or Fiction. Not to fear, Softy makes his pick just a few minutes late. Let's not forget there was a monumentally important college football game over the weekend. Joel Klatt breaks it all down, and explains where the Pac-12 North stands going forward. Textimonials react to the passing of Paul Allen. Chris Petersen speaks after a difficult loss to the Ducks.

Softy is out again today and he's going to miss the game in Eugene as well. Dick Fain will take his place on the Honks, and Mike Gastineau joins Dick today on the show. There are a lot of storylines in tomorrow's game, but a win at Autzen, and a third win in a row against the Ducks, could cement Jake Browning's UW legacy. We give listeners an opportunity to sound off about their expectations tomorrow. Switching gears from Dawgs to Hawks, wide receiver David Moore talks about pushing past last week's loss to the Rams, preparing to play overseas, the reason he's seen more snaps, and more.

The final Fact or Fiction pick of the week is on the Falcons. A lot is made of the impact of jet lag on NFL players playing in London, but these guys are professionals, and it isn't going to mess with them much. Jerry Allen, voice of the Oregon Ducks talks about tomorrow's game against Washington from the Eugene perspective. Textimonials flood in at 49451 on the Dawgs and Ducks.

We collect all of the best sound clips from around sports and play them back on Fun with Audio. Longtime voice of the Huskies Bob Rondeau remembers some of his favorite Washington / Oregon rivalry games, and his prediction for tomorrow. There's been more controversy regarding Pac-12 officiating, and it's shedding light on bigger problems within the conference. Dick Fain talks to Aaron Fuller ahead of the big game in Eugene.

Dick Fain is live from the Central Bar and Restaurant in Bellevue eagerly awaiting a visit from Mike Holmgren in the 4:00 hour. Softy is out again, but hopefully should be back before this weekend's game in Eugene. Looking at that game, it's hard to know what to expect out of Oregon. They could easily be a 5-0 team, but their non-conference opponents were all pretty easy this year. Based on intangibles, they should win, but the Dawgs have the experience and the coaching. The question right now is, what is Oregon? The News Tribune's Gregg Bell made the trip to London to cover the Hawks. He talks about how he, and the team, are acclimating. Lee Sterling from Paramount Sports has his picks for the Dawgs and Ducks, the Hawks in England, and more.

Dick Fain continues from the Central Bar and Restaurant in Bellevue. Today's Fact or Fiction pick: Dick's going with the Pats -3. Mike Holmgren joins us every Thursday at 4:00 from the Central, and today is no exception. He breaks down the Hawks' play against LA, talks about the oddities of playing overseas, and more. Chris Petersen speaks to the media ahead of the big rivalry game in Eugene.

Dick Fain flies solo today as Softy is out sick. You know it's bad because Softy rarely takes sick days. Hugh Millen takes an in depth look at the Huskies ahead of a big rivalry game against the Ducks, and the Hawks as they prepare to play overseas. Bush Hamdan, UW offensive coordinator talks about what happened in last weekend's game, and prepares for the Oregon defense.

Dick gets to make an extra pick on Fact or Fiction. The Seahawks may only be 2-3 but there aren't a ton of standout teams in the NFC this year. It may only take 9-7 to get them there. One key piece to them reaching 9-7 is Chris Carson who talks with Dick from the VMAC. Petros Papadakis has never had a chance to speak with Dick Fain, but with Softy out, the two finally meet. Petros gives his take on the Border War. Textimonials react to the first two hours of the show.
