  • Softy and Dick H2 - Fact or Fiction / The last hurdle / Do you care about the London game? / Jon Wilner talks Dawgs vs. Ducks / Textimonials
It's Dick's pick on Fact or Fiction, and he can't figure out why the line is where it is on the Cleveland / Chargers game. There's two big games this weekend, or at least there's one big game, and a game we feel like we're supposed to care about but don't. The Washington/Oregon rivalry is heating back up and there's no question this game is huge. This is the last big hurdle facing the Dawgs in their quest to take the Pac-12. The Hawks game on the other hand, are playing in London on Sunday, and as much as London games are being hyped, it's hard to get too excited about playing the Raiders. So how will the Dawgs perform against Oregon? The San Jose Mercury News' Jon Wilner has some thoughts on that, and how the Pac-12 Championship and college football playoffs will play out. Listeners continue to react to the expectations of the UW/Oregon game.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - Mike Florio on the Hawks & the NFL / Walter Jones on the O-Line, Marshawn, London, more / Brian Schmetzer / Lance Lopes
ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio has given up on the Seahawks winning the NFC West (but so has virtually everyone). He still believes the team's got a shot at the wild card though. He talks about the state of the Hwks and all things NFL. Former Seahawks Walter Jones weighs in on the performance of the offensive line, the team playing in London, his feelings on Marshawn, and more. Brian Schmetzer, Sounders head coach talks about the win last night despite some missing pieces. It's Tuesdays with ........Lance Lopes, director of the Oak View Group in place of Tod Leiweke this week, laying out the plans for the new Northgate NHL training facility.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - From the EQC / Hawks lose, but there were still a lot of positives / Listener reaction to Hawks vs. Rams
The Seahawks fell to the Rams 33-31 yesterday, but it wasn't all bad. In fact, there were a ton of positives from yesterday's game. The O-line changes appear to have made a huge impact. Tyler Lockett is definitely not playing like a run-of-the-mill receiver. After the loss, the division seems out of reach, but the wild card is still very much in play. Next week the Hawks play the Raiders, who should theoretically be an easy team to beat, but the game is in London so all bets are off.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - From the EQC / Fact or Fiction / Timeout controversy / Joel Klatt on the Dawgs vs. Ducks and more / Textimonials
Softy and Dick continue live from the Emerald Queen Casino. Softy liked Penn State minus the points when he thought they were a road team, he likes them even more as a home team. There's a lot of discussion about the timeout called late in the game. Was it the right call, or not? Joel Klatt joins the show each week at 4:20 to talk about all things college football. This week, the Dawgs vs. Ducks and what impact it'll have on their playoff chances, the idea of an undefeated UCF team making the Final 4, and more. Textimonials react to the Hawks and Dawgs games this weekend.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - From the EQC / After the UCLA game, are the Dawgs in trouble? / Is it okay to find positives in a loss? / Chris Petersen
Monday Night Football is about to get under way and we're watching it here at the Emerald Queen Casino. BBK said after Saturday's game that it was the most exhausted he has ever been during a game. Is this a sign of things to come? Are we about to get oumatched in Eugene? Probably not. It was one game, and there are a number of factors that could have contributed. We've spent a lot of time today celebrating the positives from the Seahawks game despite the loss. This is the opposite of what's happened in the past, where we complain about everything despite a win. Is it acceptable, or should we be harder on the team? One thing that we haven't spent much time on yet is Frank Clark, who played amazingly despite having food poisoning. He's been proving that the Hawks need to re-sign him, although maybe wait a little longer since he's still hungry. Chris Petersen spoke to the media today. Is this really just another week for the Huskies?

  • Softy and Dick H1 - Live from Buckley's / Tonight is for the Sonics fans / Your thoughts on the NBA / Tim Leiweke on the NBA and NHL
Softy and Dick Fain are broadcasting from Buckley's on Queen Anne before tonight's exhibition game between the Warriors and the Kings. No, it isn't the same as having the Sonics back but it's still good to have some sort of NBA basketball back in Seattle. Maybe this will help bring back a team, and maybe it won't make a difference, but ultimately tonight's for the Sonics fans. It's a night to show our support for the NBA in this city after a decade without a team. What are your thoughts? We take listener calls with opinions on the game and the NBA. Tim Leiweke of the Oak View Group joins us to talk about the exhibition game, the future of the NBA here, and the NHL training facility.

  • Softy and Dick H2 - Fact or Fiction / Fun with Audio / Marques Johnson remembers the Sonics / Donald Watts on NBA past and present
Softy and Dick Fain continue live from Buckley's before the exhibition game. Softy has doubted Iowa so far this year, but not anymore. Cris Carter has some thoughts on Earl Thomas, Richard Sherman goes off again on defensive penalties, and Mike Leach.... is Mike Leach on Fun with Audio. Former Sonics color commentator Marques Johnson remembers his time with the team. Donald Watts has some thoughts on the Sonics, and the NBA past and present.

  • Softy and Dick H3 - Stars need to be stars / Bob Rondeau on all things Dawgs / Seahawks & Rams aren't top 5 / Spencer Hawes / Sue Bird
We're getting closer. Softy and Dick Fain continue from Buckley's ahead of tonight's NBA exhibition game. With all the NBA talk, it's worth remembering that there is in fact a Seahawks game on Sunday. There's absolutely no question that it's going to be a tough game, but if they somehow manage to win, there's a reasonable chance they could still win the division. If they lose, their best chance is the wild card. If the Hawks are going to win on Saturday, the team's stars are going to need to be stars. Bob Rondeau, longtime voice of the Huskies joins Softy and Dick every Friday at 5:20 to talk all things Husky football. Looking at the top 5 NFL games for the weekend, the Seahawks and Rams aren't on the list. A couple of years ago it would be unimaginable that it could even be possible. Spencer Hawes will be on the call with Dick Fain tonight. He talks about the exhibition game coming to Seattle. The WNBA Champion Seattle Storm's Sue Bird talks about the importance of NBA basketball in Seattle.

  • Softy and Dick H1 - This is what Husky football is about / Dick and Dave in the Locker Room with Tevis Bartlett and JR Sweezy / Lee Sterling
No one believes Sunday's game against the Rams is going to be easy, but if they can keep it close all four quarters, and the defense without Earl can keep the Rams to under 25 points, they'll have a shot. This is a chance for Frank Clark to prove he deserves a big contract. The Husky defense has definitely proven itself. It seems Jimmy Lake has basically said"If you aren't good enough to play on Sunday, you aren't getting a scholarship here." The Dawgs have gone 49 games without giving up 35 points, the most consecutive games in the Pac-12 by 40. This is what UW football is all about. Dick and Dave are in the locker room talking with Tevis Bartlett and J.R. Sweezy. Paramount Sports handicapper Lee Sterling has your NFL and college picks for the weekend.

  • Softy and Dick H2: From the Central Bar and Restaurant - Fact or Fiction / Mike Holmgren breaks down the Hawks / UW's Chris Petersen
Softy and Dick Fain continue live from the Central Bar and Restaurant in Bellevue. Fact or Fiction: Dick says take the Gators and the points. Mike Holmgren breaks down the Seattle Seahawks' performance in Arizona. Is there any way, shape, or form that Earl ever plays for Seattle again? The Rams game is going to be an uphill battle. What are the keys to a Hawks victory on Sunday? Husky head coach Chris Petersen talks to Softy ahead of Saturday's UCLA game.
