When Nurkic went down earlier this season, most assumed that the Portland Trail Blazers were done. Now, it's the middle of May, the team has just beaten the Nuggets in seven games, and they're gearing up to take on Golden State in the Conference Finals. Current voice of the Blazers Travis Demers talks with us about where the team is at, and what the atmosphere is like in the Rose City right now. The Seahawks have signed defensive tackle Al Woods. There was a lot of uncertainty about the defense when Frank Clark was traded, but things seem to be on the upswing now. Dick Fain asks, which back-to-back Husky games will be the toughest this season. Anthony Beyrouti of Venue Kings plays Warrior or Blazer, with a chance for someone to win tickets to Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals in Portland on Monday.

We've talked about a little bit for the last few days, but it's finally official. Ziggy Ansah is now a Seahawk. How much we can expect from him remains to be seen, but he's probably not going to have quite the production of Frank Clark. We're still waiting who on this team is going to pop and become the next breakout player. The M's have finished up in New York, and have moved on to Boston, with a couple of injured players, JP Crawford and Shed Long have been called up. Just a few hours ago, we found out that the Seahawks have terminated the contracts of Doug Baldwin and Kam Chancellor. Kam was inevitable, but we still weren't sure about the fate of Doug until today. Baldwin is second place in most receiving stats on the Hawks behind one man; Steve Largent. Largent calls in to talk about Baldwin's career, the challenges the rookie receivers face this year, and his opinion of Russell Wilson's contract. The original big Hawks story of the day that's now goten lost in the Baldwin and Chancellor news is the signing of Ziggy Ansah. Timing seemed perfect to end up with a player like Ansah right after losing Clark, but the biggest factor here is injuries. Can he stay healthy? Matt Dery of the Locked on Lions podcast has covered Ansah for years, and he isn't remotely sold on the idea that this is a good move for Seattle. Ian Rapoport had the lead on the Ansah story yesterday, but the GM of the Bills who were reportedly also in the running for Ansah, ripped Rapoport's reporting. Looks like Rap was right again. Softy pulls out some clips from Baldwin from a few years ago, giving a better sense of the man, and the player he is. Dick gives Nate two choices; Durant misses the rest of the playoffs and the Sharks win the Stanley Cup, or Sharks don't win and KD returns? They were up at the rain delay, but the M's lose again last night thanks to the bullpen blowing the lead in the ninth once again. Yes, they're sitting right at .500 right now, but they've fallen a long way in just the last few weeks. No one expected them to compete this year, but with the off chance that they're still alive, it's time to get the closer situation figured out. There is still a small chance that they're in this thing. We're still waiting to hear if Ziggy Ansah is going to be a Hawk or not. Jason La Canfora has the latest on that, and other potential players signing with Seattle. Based on where the Hawks are right now, are they worse or better than they were last season? Obviously some big pieces are either gone, like Clark, or potentially gone, like Baldwin. Some of the guys in the draft class look good, but we know absolutely nothing about how they'll actually perform at this point.
