Earlier today, Earl Thomas posted to Instagram asking the Seahawks to either extend him, or make a trade happen. It sounds like he's digging in, but at this point does it really matter if he sits out training camp? Is he really going to play much in the pre-season? Just as long as this gets resolved before the regular season starts. Bill Krueger joins us as he does every Monday to talk Mariners baseball. While talking to Robert Klemko he talked about the Seahawks claiming the team has lost its way, and that the team had the potential to be better for longer. The reality is no one really knows if the team would have become a dynasty. Many of the greatest teams in NFL history have only been able to win one championship. It's hard to look at the changes in the team and not believe that Sherman's attitude may have had a role in it. Despite all of this talking, there are still Seahawks fans who say they'll root for him in San Francisco. This makes no sense. If you're a Hawks fan, Sherman is now the enemy. We've made it to the show today, but it wasn't easy. Traffic in this city is insane. This isn't really a shock to anyone who has spent any amount of time here lately, but this is just out of control. The M's got crushed last night and Paxton lasted less than an inning and is now on the DL. Supposedly it's not serious, but every year with him this is how it starts. It's not been a great month for the Mariners so far, but who's to blame? The offense has had a pretty substantial drop in performance. If you've got ot point a finger, it's probably in that direction. Today, Terry Blount is In House to discuss the M's and Hawks.

Fans are starting to jump onto the Mariners bandwagon. It's obvious because of the number of fans talking about the team..... who know nothing about the team. It's very similar to the "12 since '12" fans. Some people seem to really despise the newcomers, and some embrace them. Is it acceptable to mock fans that haven't been on board since day one? Felix is hurt, Paxton is hurt. Is it time for the Mariners to start panicking, or is this all no big deal? Mel Stottleymyre Jr., M's pitching coach, gives us a ton of insight into the team's pitching staff. He says Paxton is the number one starter when the team makes the playoffs, talks about the usage of Diaz, and gives clues to who will start for the M's in Colorado in the place of Felix tomorrow. We delve into everything that was discussed, and look at options for additional starting pitchers before the trade deadline. Cliff Avril started his new show hear on KJR this week and Softy wasn't sure how critical he'd be of his own guys, but he laid things out pretty honestly in regards to Germain Ifedi. Let's be honest, Servais is doing a great job, but managers in baseball aren't as critical as coaches in other sports.
