WINTER - ZIMA is over... Dave and Fani are ready for SPRING – POMLAD. They decided to go for a SONIC BATH – ZVOČNO KOPEL with gongs at the EQUINOX – ob ENAKONOČJU. This time Dave also learned that BODY is TELO, SOUL is DUŠA and MIND is UM (our THOUGHTS – MISLI). Well, the DECISION – ODLOČITEV was right, they had a wonderful relaxing time together.

As Fani suspected Dave had “NEKAJ ZA BREGOM” or A HIDDEN AGENDA today, but in a good way, as he wanted to attend a CONCERT - KONCERT of a band that plays Irish and Scottish FOLK SONGS – NARODNE PESMI, but in a much harder version:) So the couple and their friends went to a local CONCERT HALL – KONCERTNA DVORANA. And as it was Dave’s idea, he decided the entrance fee was his treat or “da on časti vstopnino” as Pero put it… Rock ON!!!

Dave is very proud of his Irish descent. Celebrating St. Patrick´s Day means a lot to him as St. Patrick is one of Ireland’s most celebrated PATRON SAINTS or ZAŠČITNIKI. The main colour on this day is GREEN or ZELENA as it is associated with the shamrock - a THREE-LEAF CLOVER or TRIPERESNA DETELJICA. But there are no PARADES - PARADE here in Slovenia, so Dave decided to throw a party with some CORNED BEEF and CABBAGE – GOVEDINA in ZELJE, plus lots of BEER!!! Sláinte!

Dave started to read the NOVEL – ROMAN “A FAREWELL TO ARMS – ZBOGOM OROŽJE”, a work about the 1st WORLD WAR - 1. SVETOVNA VOJNA. Dave wanted to visit the places of the ISONZO FRONT – SOŠKA FRONT, especially the Museum of Kobarid with its marvelous EXHIBITION - RAZSTAVA. The merry couple also plans to visit the nearby CHARNEL HOUSE - KOSTNICA. And of course, our Irish friend also loves food. And when he heard about KOBARID CHEESE – KOBARIŠKI SIR and the ISONZO TROUT – SOŠKA POSTRV, he already knew the visit to the Soča region or Posočje would be good.

There was a BANK ROBBERY – BANČNI ROP in town. One of the ROBBERS – ROPARJI was a FOREIGNER – TUJEC. They stole CASH – GOTOVINA, WALLETS - DENARNICE and other VALUABLES – DRAGOCENOSTI. The same night Dave had an EXCITING DREAM – VZNEMIRLJIVE SANJE and Fani found a mysterious BLACK BAG - ČRNA TORBA in their kitchen.

Dave SURPRISED – JE PRESENETIL Fani WITH FLOWERS – Z ROŽAMI, COFFEE – KAVA, PANCAKES - PALAČINKE and TICKETS – VSTOPNICE for the THEATRE - GLEDALIŠČE. Every year we mark INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY – MEDNARODNI DAN ŽENA and Dave wanted Fani to feel special today. Well, he almost did…

Dave's Pub Quiz looks like it's going to be a success… And he did learn some valuable new words along the way. HISTORY is ZGODOVINA and GEOGRAPHY is GEOGRAFIJA. THE LONGEST - NAJDALJŠI, THE SHORTEST - NAJKRAJŠI, THE OLDEST - NAJSTAREJŠI, THE YOUNGEST - NAJMLAJŠI, THE TALLEST - NAJVIŠJI, THE BIGGEST – NAJVEČJI, and THE SMALLEST - NAJMANJŠI. THE RICHEST is NAJBOGATEJŠI and THE POOREST is NAJREVNEJŠI. And, of course, Fani is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL - NAJLEPŠA, THE SMARTEST - NAJPAMETNEJŠA, and THE BEST - NAJBOLJŠA woman for Dave! And he is THE LUCKIEST – NAJSREČNEJŠI man in the world!

Dave obviously has a good heart… He did some CHARITY WORK in the past – DOBRODELNO DELO – and he's even going to wake up early on Saturday morning to do some VOLUNTEER WORK - PROSTOVOLJNO DELO at the ANIMAL SHELTER - ZAVETIŠČE. There, he will have to FEED THE ANIMALS - NAHRANITI ŽIVALI, CLEAN the place - POČISTITI, and maybe even help people to CHOOSE A NEW PET - IZBRATI NOVEGA HIŠNEGA LJUBLJENČKA. He'd better set a few alarms, JUST IN CASE he falls asleep again – ZA VSAK SLUČAJ... But as Fani said, RANA URA, ZLATA URA – EARLY HOUR, GOLDEN HOUR. Nice work, Dave!

It’s also probably happened to you already that the COMPUTER – RAČUNALNIK, STOPPED WORKING – JE NEHAL DELATI when you had to urgently do something. Luckily for Dave and Fani their friend Pero could fix the problem. As he PLUGGED IT IN/CONNECTED IT - PRIKLJUČIL, he found out that the POWER SUPPLY - NAPAJANJE was OK, but that the RAM or computer memory wasn’t… So, thanks to Pero, the computer is working again and Fani can finish the paper and print it out… That’s of course if the PRINTER - TISKALNIK is working…

Dave was too STUBBORN – TRMAST to dress properly before his winter run and now he's in bed with A COLD – PREHLAD. At least he doesn't have the FLU - GRIPA. Fani's going to go to the LEKARNA - PHARMACY for some MEDICINE - ZDRAVILO. His SYMPTOMS - SIMPTOMI include SNEEZING - KIHANJE and a SORE THROAT – BOLEČE GRLO. He's also a little bit DIZZY – OMOTIČEN and HE HAS A RUNNY NOSE – TEČE MU IZ NOSU. It looks like that's the only thing that's running today... Dave won't be going for a RUN - TEK anytime soon.
