By providing education, respect and empathy, their clients have improved and repaired their own lives. In some cases, those families end up helping others as well. September 07, 2019Cover Art and Cover SongsIn 2019, the Calgary International Folk Festival celebrated 40 years bringing together music fans with groups and bands and legends at the Prince's Island stage. To mark the milestone, the folk fest asked artists from Alberta to head into the National Music Centre in Calgary and record new versions of songs that have been popular with festival goers, and originally recorded by the acts who headlined. The result is a double CD and double-disc vinyl album called "Cover Art." It gets it's formal launch at Festival Hall in Calgary on September 13 however ahead of the show, Russell got an exclusive preview of tracks from the record.
