This morning’s meditation is selected from the form and content of Galatians 5:22 and the wonderful song, “SWEEP OVER MY SOUL”.  These two sources are merged to convey and affirm that all things that are good originate from God, and are brought to us by the Holy Spirit.  These gifts are intended to flow from us as we go about our daily routine of connecting with people in the circumstances we are presented with each day.  We are to be founts of God’s blessings, His living water, for all the people in our lives.  This is what it means to be conduits of his love!

This morning’s meditation is based upon selected verses from the famous Christian song, “Be Thou My Vision” by Eleanor H. Hull (1912).  Richard Foster writes, “The ability to have a vision is part of what it means to be human.  Most of us have many different visions, and we live our lives accordingly.”  These verses are a prayer to Jesus that we might see Him as he truly is and that this vision might become the supreme motivation of our lives.

We are blessed to know and experience the love and grace that flows from fellowship with those who are in relationship with Jesus.  It is the fellowship of believers who know that our God can not be captured inside a denomination but reigns supreme above all that has existed, is existing, and will ever exist. In this way we are blessed to be able to take the best expressions of praise and worship from all denominations that profess Jesus as Lord.  Liturgy in the sacramental churches can be meaningless and powerless if merely recited but truly inspiring and powerful if spoken and heard by the heart.  Be blessed, this morning, by words selected from the Roman Catholic Church’s Order of Mass. Hear them with your heart. Take them in as expressions of love and grace, inspired by God and spoken by men.
