  • 15 Jan 2024: Majestic

Consider the power of rulers who speak with grace and use their authority for justice and truth. Such a person is worthy of praise, and worthy of honor. How majestic is the One who carries the power of Truth to people, who depend on the wisdom of God to rule the heart of the king.

  • 12 Jan 2024: Consider God’s Goodness

God wants us to know Him. Believing He is good, takes our trust to a new level. A Father whose character of pure love and goodness, is a Father we can love and trust. As Paul wrote, “we pray that by his power all the pleasures of goodness and all works inspired by faith would fill you completely.”

  • 11 Jan 2024: Rise Up and Help Us

Let’s be honest. When things are hard and we seem to be losing on every side; when everything goes wrong and we are unable to change the circumstances in which we find ourselves it is easy to think God has left us alone. He has turned His back. He isn’t paying attention right now. This Psalm cries out for God’s attention – to wake up. Yet, listen closely to the last line – rescue me because of Your unfailing love. Love never fails. God never fails. We can depend on it.

  • 10 Jan 2024: What is Your Purpose?

The wisdom of the Psalm 37 captures the essence of understanding the relationship of trusting God and living our purpose: "Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way, you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly!" It is only in letting go of what you want that you receive the direction, wisdom and strength to fulfill your purpose.

  • 9 Jan 2024: The Practice of Leading Well

Today’s meditation touches on guidance for leading well. In God’s kingdom, those who are willing to serve, who honor others, who are not intimidated by being kind and honest are great. Solomon said, Good leadership is built on love and truth. Transparency in intentions, compassion for others are the hallmarks of those who are willing to do what is right. Every time. Let these words of truth permeate your mind and heart and lead well in the role you have been placed.

  • 8 Jan 2024: My Heavenly Father will Never Use My Sins Against Me

There is only one voice that speaks on our behalf. It is God Himself, who took our judgement and set us free. He is the only who has the right to condemn us but He never will. He took our sin, our guilt on Himself. He will not come back and tell us how wrong we are, no - He wraps us up in goodness and holds us close to His heart continually.

  • 5 Jan 2024: The Practice of Collaborating Creatively

Collaboration is often defined as two or more parties successfully working together on professional or artistic projects. It is more than cooperation. It is the developing of each other’s ideas. Might we have ideas that are bigger than us? That somehow are incomplete yet crucial to the success of the concept? Are we willing to let go of our ideas and explore the power of collaboration through which God’s Spirit can and does ignite passions and ideas never before thought of? Might our dreams be the catalyst for something bigger that can only be accomplished with others? What will God breathe into your spirit today as you listen for His dream for you? Is it to share your dream with another? Is it to trust God to protect what He’s given you as you venture to share your passion with another?

  • 4 Jan 2024: The Practice of Pursuing God

Pursuing God is the only way to live a transformed life in Jesus. And practicing that determination of being the best version of ourselves comes only from allowing God to change us, step by step. It is in the quest to find Him that we open ourselves to His transforming ways – changing our hearts of stone into hearts of flesh – the blood of Christ carrying the oxygen of life to our very souls. Run after Him. He is near.

  • 3 Jan 2024: The Practice of Being Thankful

In this meditation we are reminded of four things. The first three are that we are to pray with an alert mind, to be cheerful no matter what and that whatever we do or say, to do it as one who represents Jesus. The fourth thing we are to do is to be thankful to the God of the universe. Choosing to be alert, cheerful and honoring of our position as Jesus’ ambassadors, positions our minds and hearts to recognize and realize our breath is from the God of heaven and earth. Let your heart rest in these truths as you listen today.

  • 2 Jan 2024: The Practice of Loving Well

The scriptures say love is supreme. We love to love others and to be loved. God’s love empowers us to give out more than we might get back. It replenishes us and gives us the confidence to know even when life is tough, love softens and smooths over the rough spots that disrupt our hearts and interactions. Love deeply, friends. It is God’s way.
