DC's 'The Authority' Movie Put on the Back Burner
DC Studios has reportedly paused active development on The Authority, effectively putting the feature film on the back burner. Originally announced by James Gunn and Peter Safran as a major pillar of the new DCU's "Chapter One: Gods and Monsters" slate, the gritty, anti-hero team-up movie is taking a backseat. The studio is currently choosing to prioritize and focus its resources on other fast-moving, high-priority projects that are further along in development, such as Superman, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, and the Lanterns series.
