Welcome back, Friends! This week we have a great show. We are highlighting the NPR Podcast Challenge. Last year there were over 6000 entries! Will your students add to that number this year? Listen to the episode to see if it is something you'd like to do and then click here to learn more. And our shoutout this week goes to all the DCSD teachers who took part in Digital Learning Day. What an awesome crew of teachers we have in DCSD. Carla will spotlight two lessons in particular, AAAAAANNNNNDDD, she dropped the bombshell that those who participated will have their lessons in an e-book put together by our very own amazing Hanna Teal. That book will serve as a fun and interactive way to get ideas of what other teachers are doing in DCSD so that you can try some new things in your classroom!

Welcome back Loyal Listeners! Have we got a show for you! This week we are challenging YOU to make a difference in this world just by having a simple conversation with someone you already know. It's the Great Thanksgiving Listen hosted by StoryCorps. In the episode, I mentioned several links I'd include in the show notes. This first link is to the website so you can learn more. There is a bunch of resources for educators to help them complete this as a class assignment. There is also information on how you can do this as an individual. This second link is to the support page for students who might not have an iOS or Android device (for example, a high school student who just has a macbook) so that they can participate too. Our shout out this week goes to Mrs. Mack at St. John's Elementary school! Thanks for listening as always.
Happy Halloween, Loyal Listeners! This week we are highlighting a neat tool called Loop to help you do polls in the classroom. And our shoutout goes to Jennifer Greene at Brunson-Dargan Elementary school. Hope y'all have a great day and a wonderful Halloween! Watch out for those ghouls and goblins!
