If you are someone like me and physical activity is not a priority for you, then this episode is for you! In this conversation I chat with my friend, Victoria Smith, a pre-professional dancer and dance instructor about the mental health benefits of moving our bodies. Body movement can be as simple as going for a walk around your neighborhood or as complex as dance choreography. In light of all the tension happening in our world, simply providing movement to our body is a FREE way to stay healthy! We also provide practical tips for beginners on moving the body if you're self-conscious or leery about body movements. Hope you enjoyed this episode!

Fun fact.. I grew up without the realization that being Black was considered a "bad thing" by some people. I had no grid for it for years. See, my Black experience began in the majority Black nation of Haiti. We were all Black so nothing was "wrong" with that :) Fast forward to sitting in my history class in middle school in the United States and finding out a slew of facts indicating that indeed there were people out there who thought less of Black people and the Black race. I was angry, devastated, and almost in disbelief. I didn't want to believe that racism and racist acts were a part of reality. I wanted to believe in the purity of our human race. But the reality is racism does exist. This vile and unproductive belief system has tried to steal the beauty and joy of being simply Black. One of the greatest tools in fighting hate is love. We fight racism against Black people and Black skin by us loving our Blackness. In this episode, we take the conversation to a deeper level. I sit with Chanel Diane, Founder of CDianeWhisk Food Blog, she is another woman of color and a friend. We explore the beauty of not only being authentic with our Blackness, but also being unapologetically Black.
