Hello Good People and Beautiful Souls,
On today’s episode, the host, Teresa Reese, speaks candidly about fully understanding the importance of having an obedient heart.
In this deeply personal episode of the Dear Future Hubby Podcast, Teresa shares a powerful revelation that completely changed her understanding of the phrase, “Obedience is better than sacrifice.”
There was a season when she found herself in an extremely toxic work environment over a long period of time.
Nearly everyone around her encouraged her to walk away, and from a natural perspective, leaving seemed like the obvious choice.
Yet, every time she prayed about it, she sensed God saying, “Be still and know that I am God.”
Looking back, she now realizes why.
Had she chosen comfort over obedience, she could have unknowingly aborted opportunities and divine appointments that God had already predestined for her life.
This episode is not about remaining in every difficult situation indefinitely—it is about discerning God’s voice above the opinions of others and discovering the blessings that can only be found through obedience.
Teresa Reese also shares an exciting announcement about the future direction of the podcast.
Rather than following her own agenda going forward, Teresa has made the decision to fully surrender the direction of the Dear Future Hubby Podcast to God and trust Him to lead every conversation moving forward.
And of course, you will also get to meet the newest member of the family—Teresa’s grand pup, OSIDIAN!
Be sure to subscribe to his brand-new YouTube channel, @mynameisOSIDIAN, and join us as we share his adventures, while Teresa, his T-Ma remains the voice behind him.
If you have been encouraged by this ministry, we also invite you to support Teresa Reese’s work by exploring her books which are available on Amazon.
Whether you are waiting on God, wrestling with a difficult decision, or wondering if obedience is really worth it, this episode is a reminder that God’s instructions often make sense only in hindsight—but His plans are always worth trusting!
We hope this episode encourages someone!
Be encouraged.

Hello, Good People and Beautiful Souls,
On today’s episode of the Dear Future Hubby Podcast, Teresa Reese is taking a brief pause from the “Future Hubby” conversations to invite you into a more personal moment—introducing the newest member of the family, her grand pup, OSIDIAN.
Yes, you read that correctly—OSIDIAN, not Obsidian. While many have assumed his name is spelled like the well-known volcanic glass, his name is uniquely his own.
A rescue puppy with an unforgettable personality, OSIDIAN has already captured both Teresa’s heart and her daughter’s.
This episode was originally recorded as a video so you could watch his adorable antics. Unfortunately, only the audio was preserved. So, if you hear Teresa describing moments as though you can see them, now you’ll know why.
Join Teresa for a candid, unedited glimpse into life with OSIDIAN as she shares the joy, laughter, and unexpected moments that come with welcoming a rescue pup into the family.
If you’d like to see OSIDIAN for yourself, be sure to follow Teresa on Facebook at IAMTeresaReese or subscribe to the Dear Future Hubby Podcast - Teresa Reese on YouTube, where you can watch “A Day in the Life of OSIDIAN.”
We hope this lighthearted episode brings a smile to your face and reminds you that love often arrives in the most unexpected ways.

Hello Good People and Beautiful Souls,
In this impromptu episode, the host, Teresa Reese, shares some honest reflections about relationships, healing, self-worth, and the power of paying attention to what our bodies are trying to tell us.
Sometimes we can sense when we’re in the presence of someone who drains us, and other times we’re blessed to encounter people who genuinely edify, encourage, and build us up.
The challenge is learning not to ignore those signals.
She will briefly discuss how life has a way of revealing lessons in its own time, even when we don’t understand what we’re going through in the moment.
As she looks back over the past year, she reflects on how much has changed.
She notices how the fifties come with a gift of its own.
The realization that peace is priceless, and some of the things and people she once thought she could not live without are the very things she has learned to release over time.
Teresa also shares two powerful examples of husbands publicly affirming and edifying their wives and why those moments resonated so deeply with her.
This conversation may feel a little unscripted and all over the place at times, but this is because Teresa did not want to journal her thoughts this time—Instead, she wanted to talk about them.
So, if you are someone who has been navigating healing, personal growth, relationships, or learning how to choose peace over chaos, this episode is for you.
We hope this episode encourages someone!
Be encouraged.
