My apologies for the delay my little freaks! Nana wasn't feeling well at all this past Sunday (when I usually record and upload episodes for Monday morning consumption) and with an average of 4 hours of sleep every night since then it's been hectic to say the least - now this is just turning into a journal entry.
While I was going to record with just myself tonight, Nathan hit me up on my way home and when he agreed to do the podcast we recorded on a little one-way street in the West Village, Barrow Street to be exact.
This was about to be the episode that I go solo! Maybe the next one, with an outlined article or book to keep me company.

This week Nana has one of her oldest and dearest friends: Ferdi Rodriguez. They talk about growing up together and becoming best friends through their love of comedy, 7-11 and Taco Bell. Two back-to-back episodes of people super close to Nana?! Dang! Also, I recording this in Miami when I still had a cold so, my apologies for how sick I sound.

Sofia de Cardenas joins Nana this week and it might be the most intimate episode yet as Sofia is the closest thing to a sister she has - even though they are first cousins, they were raised as sisters. In this episode they discus what Cuba is like today, what it's like to be Cuban-American in Miami, taking care of the environment and I'm sure a few family secrets slip between the tracks.

Father Manny is Irene's priest friend, yes - she has a priest friend. Are you surprised? You shouldn't be. They cover how they met, what it's like to be young priest, whether a Vatican III is necessary and just before she lets him off the hook she asks him about the sexual misconduct in the church. Father Manny is a bit of a Chatty Cathy but Irene tries to get as much covered as she can.

Alex Pavone was Irene's first friend when she moved to NYC five years ago. She lovingly refers to him as the "gateway drug" for friends as she has truly met some of the best people through him and is forever grateful.

Kase Raso joins Irene on this episode of Dear Nana: Advice From An Idiot. We talk about comedy, candles and what it's like to date as a comedian in New York City. We recorded at Kase's apartment with his equipment so if it sounds a bit different, that's why.

Chris Scopo joins Nana on this week's episode of Dear Nana: Advice from an Idiot. We recorded this episode a while back so Chris fully has the NBA finals playing on his phone while we recorded but we still manage to talk shop about comedy and what it was like going to Catholic school.
