Marcia Belsky joins Nana this week for an intimate episode of what it's like to be an artist in NYC and working to find the balance of in it all. Marcia hosts a monthly show at Union Hall called Stevie with Drew Anderson and Sam Taggart and has created and co-wrote the musical parody "Handmaid's Tale: The Musical" as well as "Fiddler on the Rooftop Bar." Marcia also has a podcast with our good friend Rae Sanni called "Misandry with Marcia and Rae" and created the Instagram account @Headlesswomenofhollywood AND is in a band called @Freethemind Believe it or not Marcia does sleep, Irene knows this because they used to live together.

My apologies for the delay with how late I am in uploading this episode, I fell asleep Sunday night, hit the snooze by accident Monday morning and while technically it's 3:00 am on Tuesday it's still Monday for me but I still feel bad. Kippy Bonus Ep! WE originally recorded two weeks ago in the park but the Zoom6 recorder died halfway through our conversation and the file was lost. Nathan Macintosh joins Irene on this episode of Dear Nana: Advice From An Idiot. My apologies for the delay on this episode! This week was a bit busier normal and now I'm uploading my Monday morning podcast at 2:48 am on a Wednesday which makes it Thursday, I'm perfectly aware. 

Nathan is a dear friend, we've known each other for five years and he's one of the funniest people I've ever met. Nathan has performed on Conan, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and is passed and performs regularly at world famous, the Comedy Cellar. He's also the proud father of Baby Dog, chihuahua dog extraordinaire.

I'm still not sure if people read these so it feels silly to continue in the third person but here we are: Pat covers his early life and how his older brother got him to eventually try stand-up comedy as well as nuggets of advice that he's held on to along the way. This episode may start off slow but within 20 minutes Pat and Irene are cooking with gas.

I'm still not sure if anyone reads these but! Liz Heather was the first person to read my screenplay and was so nice and tender and wonderful about it, I'll never forget it. She's also one of the best hangs and I love our standing monthly dates. She selflessly indulges me because I don't have a boyfriend so together we check out cute (mostly Mexican) places to eat in the city. Maybe the next time she's on we'll rate our favorites. Lady Liz is what I call her, but you can call her Liz Heather.
