On today's edition of The Almanack Report, international rugby league returned to the sporting calendar for the first time since the covid outbreak, and what a refreshing and amazing time it was. Six nations pitted against each other in three Tests, with proud men showing true emotion during the anthems as to what it meant to them to be able to represent their country in a rugby league Test match. W have a look back on what was a fantastic day for rugby league.
Also, given its success, we then hurl abuse at the NRL and Channel 9 who have actively decided to cut this from next season's schedule despite everything positive that came from it, and wonder whether someone will come to their senses and ensure this isn't lost to the rugby league calendar each season.
That's today's discussion on The Almanack Report, on the most over-underrated podcast on the planet, Thoughts From the Metal Cavern.
