The Crypt Keeper & The Cardio Killer RIDE AGAIN… into the tech death voids of mutagenic power with NICK STANGER. Best known as guitar virtuoso for Ashbringer & Wishfield, but we him know as XYTHLIA, whom is responsible for the sickest solo death metal record we’ve heard all year “Immortality Through Quantum Suicide.” We discuss the channeling our agonies of the world’s climate into music , how this monster of a record was created, political responsibilities of artists, and all the stuff that is right & just. This could just restore your faith in the world of heavy metal and beyond. Nick rocks. So do you. Dig it up.

Rejoice, FREAKS!! After a brief hiatus due to lost episodes via government suppression of the truth, relocating The Crypt, alien abductions, and so on… LIFTS & RIFFS IS BACK in what is a sleeveless reunion on EPISODE 6 featuring ROCCO MARTONE of the brilliant extreme metal band, Chained To The Dead.

We dive into serious subjects such as the ancient metal head debate of Corpsegrinder VS Barnes, the global pandemic, why Van Morrison may be the most badass figure in music, obscure horror films, and much more weight lifting & blood drinking fun. Rocco is a fantastic guest and we look forward to having him on again.

You best check out CHAINED TO THE DEAD for all your gore-soaked death metal needs.

“An opposition to everything,” it’s bio reads… The iron Crypt is honored to welcome one-man black metal master known only as ABDUCTION to the show.

Revealing himself to the mortal eye as only a dark form wielding a vintage SG, he (or it) spits out blistering extreme metal from a dark electronic dark void while maintaining anonymity.

Abduction writes and records all music as a solo artist, and he was cool enough to reveal some mysterious secrets of that process. We also dive into the landscape of UK black metal scene, share opinions on theatrical gimmicks in music, how writing on old experimental equipment with limitations boosts creativity, the current state of the world, unconventional inspirations, and much more.

Keep your ear out for new Abduction music in the near future. While we patiently await, YOU can check out all of his killer music here:

The Crypt Keeper and the Cardio Killer return for Episode Four! Joining us this time on unhallowed soil is founder, guitarist and vocalist of long-running California sludge kings, -(16)-, Mr. Bobby Ferry. In celebration of the brand new -(16)- album, Dream Squasher, Bobby chats with us about the band's history, staying inspired, the state of the music industry for veterans and newcomers alike, the importance of staying humble yourself by wrecking your ass skating & surfing, Black Sabbath (of course), and just being awesome. We appreciated it greatly. Especially Schuler.

We're honored we could get a little of Bobby's time (on the album's release date, no less), and we know you'll enjoy the conversation. Check it out, and check out Dream Squasher, out now on Relapse Records!

The Crypt Keeper & The Cardio Killer are blessed by the presence of the all too familiar CASKET SLIME on episode 3 of RIFFS & LIFTS!! Joined by he who is known only as FREDDY whom supplies the grossest drum sound of all time for Casket Slime; we go deep into subcultures of metal, microdosing mushrooms & using chainsaws, visceral 70’s exploration horror VS the tits & machetes of the 80’s, Mortician, Rob Halford’s importance to the world, and too much more. This couldn’t have been more fun, and CASKET SLIME couldn’t rule any harder. Reggie Bannister, we’re coming for YOU next!!
