In this episode, we venture into the tender terrain of who we are beneath the layers, with curiosity, reverence, and a desire to reconnect with what is true.
Emily is joined by Elli Richter, a radiant force in the world of healing and transformation. As the founder of Subconscious and Somatic Integrative Coaching, Elli brings years of wisdom in helping people move beyond the stories they’ve inherited, the patterns that keep them stuck, and the conditioning that dims their light. Together, Emily and Elli explore how subconscious reprogramming, somatic practices, and human design can become portals back to the self, tools not to fix us, but to reveal us.
This conversation is about more than just healing. It’s about becoming. It’s about listening to the body as a sacred messenger, understanding the quiet power of the subconscious, and learning to live from a place of deep alignment.

In this episode, I’m joined by second-time guest Mel Fioravanti, a gifted practitioner, healer, teacher and spiritual guide. Mel has experienced and extensively studied the power of altered state therapy and shares deeply moving conversations about what it truly means to heal.
Together, they explore how stepping into expanded states of awareness can help us shed the protective layers we’ve learned to wear—the masks that keep us safe but also keep us distant from our most authentic selves. Mel speaks to the power of meeting the parts of us we’ve long ignored or suppressed—fear, grief, joy, confusion—not to fix or change them, but to understand their place in our story.
This conversation is an invitation to sit with all of who you are, to hold space for both your light and your shadow, and to begin the quiet, courageous work of returning to wholeness.

Grief changes us in ways we never expected. This week, Emily sits down with grief coach and writer Mira Simone to explore the raw, transformative power of loss. In an extraordinary connection, Emily and Mira are widow twins—their husbands passed away on the same day from different types of melanoma. After the passing of her partner, Brian, Mira was thrust into a world of unimaginable pain—but also profound self-discovery. She opens up about how grief shattered her, yet also led her toward a journey of self-love and the creation of a supportive space for widows.
Together, Emily and Mira reflect on the dual nature of grief—how it can break us and rebuild us at the same time. They discuss the importance of honoring your path through loss without comparison or shame. This episode is a powerful reminder of resilience, the imperfect yet beautiful process of healing, and the surprising ways we rediscover ourselves after deep loss.

Mira Simone is a widow, mother, published writer, grief coach, and speaker. She is also a registered mental health occupational therapist in Ontario, Canada. In early 2019, Mira’s life was shattered when her partner, Brian, was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. He died just seven weeks later, leaving her alone with their almost three-year-old daughter. Mira felt an unstoppable urge to write about her grief publicly, using social media as a way to process and give voice to the profound loneliness of her experience. The response was overwhelming. As more widows, grievers, and grief-curious individuals connected with her words, a powerful community began to form—one rooted in honesty, vulnerability, and a deep desire for connection.
In 2022, she founded New Moon Mira, a grief coaching business designed to support widows and grievers, both online and in-person. She runs a beautiful, 24/7 online community for widows, where members find connection, support, and a sense of belonging. In addition, she leads transformative in-person retreats and offers a powerful somatic-based grief program, helping grievers reconnect with their bodies in the aftermath of loss.
